#1 should be the lost colony in NC. It was the first colony established 1690’s. When England sent some ships for more supplies the settlement was gone.

I've been to Ashcroft. It felt so surreal and strange there. There was one house near the creek that had a sign that said "Don't disturb me" so me and my mom thought there was still someone living there.

I’ve been to Ashcroft and St Elmo In colorado. Neither are creepy, but rather, beautifully preserved and sad (for me). These towns were the backdrops to peoples lives. They lived a rough life. Imagine someone walking through your home 150 years from now when you’re dead & gone.
@alisaishere2 жыл бұрын
I would hope I would leave behind plenty of evidence of what life was like at this time. I've been dead for 150 years, so it's not like I'm using it. But now we have the internet, and everything is preserved there, so I highly doubt my boring home would garner much attention.

If you like ghost towns Bodie is a must. Very well preserved considering its age. A must for ghost town enthusiast. I went to Rhyolite last year, it is not in Death Valley but just out side of it. Just west of Beatty, Nv. If in the area definitely worth seeing. Very easy to get to.

When towns are abandoned like that does it mean that any random person can walk in and "buy" it or do they just show up and settle? How would something like that work? How are taxes paid? Anyone know?
@daBEAGLE10174 жыл бұрын
I believe once property taxes are missed, the land goes back to the government and you need to buy from them.
@vanessashaw69124 жыл бұрын
@@daBEAGLE1017 Thanks! So they would basically sell it for back taxes?
@daBEAGLE10174 жыл бұрын
@@vanessashaw6912 lol, back taxes aka legally stealing from the governments citizens. But yes, that is one way they will steal a persons property legally. Bless you my sister.

If you're going to make videdos like this, you should at least get basic facts right. This video is riddled with errors starting with the very first town you mention. The photographs of (supposedly) Baltimore, Indiana are NOT of that town. The photographs are clearly of a western ghost town. Apparently you have never been to Indiana or maybe even the midwest. That error is so ridiculous that it's laughable. I suggest you get your facts straight or stop making videos.
