This whole segment felt like it was directly out of P.T. and I love it. From what I remember alot of the team that worked on RE7 and I assume also 8 were part of the staff working on Silent Hills before the original Kojima Productions disbanded after he left. It's safe to say they used RE7 and 8 as an opportunity to bring back some terrifying inspirations from that cancelled game lol

I watched the first release trailer of this game, and avoided all other trailers. Seen pictures of disva...whatever her name is, super mega giant lady, and werewolves. All I knew going into this game and loved every moment. Until this part. Pants became 5 pounds heavier, and Ethan really doesn't like to move faster then half jog. Never have I wanted to jump into a horror game and sprint for a character that can't move fast enough.

My room was dark and I was alone when I first played it, and looking down those stairs with that dimly lit light at the bottom sent shivers down my spine knowing I had to go down there to progress.

This is the scariest part. I remember when i went to play through on village of shadows difficutly i was super afraid that this segment would be different or longer. You notice that in the room where you solve the music box puzzle there are cabinets to hide in, but when the baby spawns you cant go into that room anymore

First time since I was 13 playing the re1 remake that a resident evil has made me pause and quit playing for a minute because it was too creepy. Went into Village blind only watching the announcement trailer and the doll house was a pleasant surprise. The way it slowly builds the tension and then just when you think it can't get even creepier you meet what can only be described as the devils work. That mutated baby is one of the most disturbing, macabre creations I've seen since the thing (1982). Nice touches of PT influence that you could say is a homage to Kojima and co. as well. Amazing job capcom!!!

I am a scaredy cat to the extreme, I jump scare when I just turn around at work and someone is there I wasn’t expecting. Yet I really wanna buy this game and play it.
