Have you ever worked in an ex soviet country? Russia has never given 2 f*cks about radiation safety. Those were relay units for a dam, and they just left them there when they finished with them. This means that they are there for anyone to get their hands on. If you have ever heard of a channel called Plainly Difficult, he covers just how often this kind of thing has happened and not just in the soviet union.

During the 50s to late 80s Sweden had thousands of military stash hideouts in the forest all over the country with guns ammo and explosives in case of a soviet invasion. When the Soviet Union collapsed Sweden pretty much dismantled all its military. And some of these stashes were forgotten and are still uncovered.

Absolutely terrifying, to think something so small and seemingly innocuous could spell unavoidable doom for everything. YAY A NEW MR SLAV VIDEO!! But seriously... if common sense not common anymore?? If I'm walking in the bitter freezing cold and come across a little thingy that's MELTING THE SNOW AROUND IT... and causing steam... that's hella sus. I'm walking the OTHER direction, I will take frostbite over mystery heat any day. Generating heat on its own without any visible fire? Nope. Big ol' nope.

people really forget physics fundamentals. that heat/energy doesn't come from nowhere, and if i CANT see where its coming from (for example like fire) then its invisible to human eyes and extraordinarily dangerous. this is an assumption anyone with basic survival knowledge should be able to make. i've nearly frozen to death before on hunting expeditions and from that experience i would rather die that way than having my body literally melt around me while i'm used as a study case for undergrads.

They should be investigating why those most likely to be skeptical and disturbed by the object, decided to play with it. Not just for radiation risks but for other things too, like playing with grenades or eating long rotten carcasses and jumping off of cliffs into quarries filled with razor wire. Its a war against stupidity not atomic energy.
