Even if you think Radahn was on the “wrong” side of the cosmic war, I don’t think anyone can dispute that Radahn was one of the noblest characters in the Lands Between. Beloved by, and beloved his men in equal measure, learned Gravity Magic just to keep riding his beloved childhood horse even as he grew to titanic size, only reached stalemate with Malenia because she summoned an Outer God to nuke the continent, and even after going mad, was able to kill everyone who tried to take him down, hold back the stars, and keep protecting Leonard from his immense weight. Radahn lost to Morgott when he attacked Leyndall to take the Elden Throne in the First (possibly) Defense of Leyndall. We see it in the opening cinematic, where Morgott has him pinned to the ground. He was younger back then, though, but his powers were still the same. Also, Radahn's men used fire, which is heretical to the Golden Order, but that might have been after the Scarlett Rot started spreading. Despite that, Malenia only fought Radahn to prevent him from becoming Elden Lord so Miquella's visions could come to fruition. Truthfully, Malenia is the only demi-god who fought for someone else and she hated the Scarlett Rot. She used it only to beat Radahn so she would stay undefeated so people would fear challenging. Even then, Finlay had to carry her all the way back to the Haligtree to discover that Miquella was gone, but they had no idea Mogh took him, because they didn't know who Mogh was.

I have the impression of "discovering" a new miracle of sound thanks to this music with the serious tone of the chorus, what a pleasure... discovering a "new facet" after 8 years of follow-ups (Wake The White Wolf 1st music) force you , I love what you do so much! ^^ (I'm not bilingual I go through a translator sorry for the translation ^^ )

What a beautiful song for the one and only General Radahn, chaddest of the demi-gods, and one of the most nobles as well (ties with Morgott in my book). Splendid work.

Not only did this man take a Scarlet Rot nuke to the face, he continued to hold up the very heavens themselves through sheer force of will, while also using his gravity magic to levitate himself after losing his feet, and making sure his sheer mass didn't crush his best friend, Leonard. Truly, he is the most most chad of all chads.
@spacejam54862 жыл бұрын
....and directly attributes to the massive suffering of the Shattering, and supports the incredibly racist golden order. What a fucking chad, sure.

Man, didn't expect the song to be like this but now when I think about it more it suits Radahn character and his tragic story even better, really enjoy it! And the outro part gives me chills every time, such a perfect reference to the choir that you hear when arrive to the Redmane castle to slay the demigod himself. Can't wait to hear what Rani song would sound like) Cheers from Ukraine!

Haven't played Elden Ring, don't know anything about Radahn but damn you did a tremendous job to carry the emotional weight. Actually in tears right now. Stellar work, Gav.

Scarlet Sky: Radahn to Leonard A story of hope, honor, and responsibility against the most depressing despair. Holding the stars while you rot away, for that’s your responsibility. Moonlight Blue: Ranni to Blaidd An impeccable friendship born of a vow to defy fate yet fated to end in betrayal. Fallen Leaves: Tarnished to us A doubt that destroys everything you know about the universe, that you are constantly fighting yourself to suppress. The fallen leaves , testifying the lies of the eternal

This is the hardest I have ever heard you go on vocals. You hit some lines in the chorus and after SO HARD. Haven't heard anything like it from your music since City of Night. Love it whenever it shows up.

Just managed to beat him yesterday, it was a tough battle, but from the lore i gathered and what i saw, id say he was in agony for so long, broken to the point he mentally isnt there anymore and only his bestial instincts remained. A sad end for a noble warrior, but he finally is able to rest forever, with his beloved friend. Re listening to this song now, i feel it is much sadder than when i listened to it before i could play the game. The feelings of Radahn for his horse, his desperation at the memories of his golden years before the scarlet rot, and yet you still feel his stubborness and resolve to keep the stars at bay, even in his rotting state, his love and care for his beloved horse. Truly amazing how the song manages to convey so much

I like how all the songs you create for a game have some segments that sound similar to create a sort of continuity. I observed this first with the dragon age songs even though it was much obvious as they both had one common line in the lyrics while here it's more subtle. 3:15 onwards it sounds reminiscent of some parts of Fallen Leaves. Maybe I'm reading too much, but that's all the more reason to love your songs.
@miracleofsound2 жыл бұрын
You are not reading too much, that is indeed the same progression just slightly rearranged for 4/4 time :)

@@miracleofsound aha! I'm no expert in music but I can figure out of two things sound similar. Any time I recommend your songs to people, I go "well, so the artists YOU like create a continuity for their songs? No they don't. Shut up and listen to Miracle of Sound and Aviators".
