I think Doctor Strange tried to stop her from doing the spell. Emma certainly did, as she read Wanda's mind and realised what she was about to do before she did it. It has been said that, of those who experienced the House of M reality (the Skrulls from Secret Invasion notwithstanding), only those protected by Doctor Strange's magic and Emma Frost's telepathy retained their memories of the event. So it's possible that, in a similar way, Strange and Emma's powers combined to mitigate Wanda's spell, resulting in most mutants losing their powers, but not _all_ mutants losing their powers. It's possibly also the reason that most of the major X-Men characters (Cyclops, Rogue, Beast, Shadowcat, Nightcrawler, Northstar, Storm, X-23, the Stepford Cuckoos, Psylocke, Colossus etc) just _happened_ to be among to "198" who kept their powers.

There are multiple reasons, 1st - doctor strange apparently shielded the ones he personally knew of. 2nd - Scarlett witche’s magic is built on probability, and emotion. Thus, her magic, although powerful, still has flaws. When she acts on emotion, it increases the probably of devastation, but also the probability of it not working as intended. I.e - it was only 99% effective, not 100%. And the last - is marvel wanted to clean house, because they had too many mutants to take care of / remember and cast in comics - so, they drastically reduced the more irrelevant ones - to make the story lines more adaptable and consistent.

In the beginning is nice, but after a while, you start to see it fall apart. But multiply that on a multi-universal scale.

I almost feel that Layla Miller should have been the sane aspect of Scarlet Witch's persona, the heroic side of her that knows and regrets what she is doing and is giving the heroes a way to stop her. I think that would've made for a better conclusion, something similar to how Jean Grey had to kill herself in the Dark Phoenix saga.

PLEASE DO ULTIMATE DOOM TAKES RICHARDS MIND! Doom is my favourite, I painted a Doom mask and have it hanging on my wall. We should have a fan art section. One thing I found rereading the Books of Doom last year is that Brubaker has Doom programming lines from poems into his Doombots's memories, which is as brilliant and egotistical as Doom should be. If you're going to redo some content (like you mentioned in spidey vid?) then why not do the 'Hickman' Verse The entire sequence of his marvel content can be read as a stand alone arc. He creates characters and sets up each new story almost years later by using sections of his previous content starting back in Secret Warriors? Though Shield: agents of forever and Galactus attacking Renaissance Italy, all the way through to FF and future foundation Its some of the best content and it all continues on #3. Here is idea for an MCU house of M movie. After the events of IW many characters who died are brought back to life and Shuri is trying her hardest to bring vision back to life but it isn’t working. Then he she fixed him but he forgot about scarlet witch and the avengers.And ever since scarlet witch was brought back she would always have mental breakdowns that would destroy buildings because of the trauma of her and visions death. But when she got the news vision was back she was so excited to see him but when she saw him he couldn’t remember her then she had another mental breakdown that Destroyed a city so the avengers had a meeting to lock her up and test her but she over heard Doctor strange say she is like a mutant then she said I’m a freak they called me a mutant then she whispered the word more mutants. Then reality was changed the population had increased. Suddenly Peter is going to school and starts to see many new students who are mutants and this also introduces Miles as a student.The he looks up in the sky and sees flying ships with an M sign and then he realises this isn’t his normal reality and this leads us on to a house with scarlet witch, vision, Quicksilver and Magneto they are all living in a mansion and then it leads on to Thor waking up in Asgard with hela Loki Odin and his mom like a happy family ruleing the kingdom but Thor starts to realise something is wrong then has flashbacks to all his families death and he goes to the avengers HQ and in the meeting Spider-Man brings up the subject and no one believes him but Thor agrees so they bring a team together to fix it but Magneto gets the word and realises he isn’t part of the universe so he tells Quicksilver but he doesn’t want anything to change his perfect life then he is told in real life he dies and His sister create this reality so he falls on his knees and cries and helps but there is a team that is on Scarlets Witch’s side to defend her and that Hawkeye/ronin Black Widow Deadpool Bucky and cap so when they die she has another breakdown and resets reality to how it was before but with minor changes like. Mutants and other teen heroes go to peters school also Miles does, Mutants are in the MCU and Quicksilver is alive as deadpool and the xforce are in the MCU. This leads on to the first mcu Xmen movie that introduces the team.

Ardent Dfender I don't think it can be done unless marvel gets the rights to the X-Men back, I mean they have Scarlet witch but the main part of the story is about mutants. I guess it could be like "No more powers" or something. But also at the same time X-Men really powered up jean gray maybe they could do it with her instead of Wanda but I doubt it.

I think I'd like to see the MCU do it, not because it's the MCU but because of the diversity of cast, and they'd push aside the mutant anyway to pick and choose what they'd like so it doesn't matter. But the short version would be Bruce isn't gamma radiated probably with Widow, Steve is 100 years old with old ass Peggy Carter by his side, Tony's parents are alive I guess and he's never needed a reason to make his suits and turned his company into something more positive, etc.

I'd love to see a house of M style story done in the mcu (x men films really don't have enough character development for this sort of story) maybe as a way of rebooting the cast and characters. You could have old cap, tony stark with his parents alive and him married to pepper, Bruce banner was never the hulk, Thor is on asguard with his family and Jane foster, black widow has a family and was never made into an assassin, spiderman has his parents, aunt and uncle, black panthers father didn't die in an explosion, quick sliver is still alive, starlord never left earth and is just living a normal life (maybe make him an actor starting in a film similar to guardians of the galaxy), doctor strange is still a surgeon, etc. The only thing is coming up with a reason to change things back, which wasn't really done that well in house of M (wolverine just remembered and therefore it must go back to when everyone was sad), there would need to be a good reason, like that reality can't last and is falling apart and they have to convince or force scarlet witch to put things back.
