I already pointed out how Wanda would not limit herself by saying no more sound. Instead she would take advantage of the situation and Say no more magic. The issue is that we have to look at the rules of Magic as set forth in both Universes. Under the rules of Magic in Marvel (how they always potrayed magic) Wandas powers are not actually magic in nature. She learned magic to help hone and enhance her natural abilities but they are not technically magic. This is why she not only was given a false positive on the X-gene but also registered as an OMEGA level mutant. Even false the only other being powerful enough to register under that level falsely is the Pheonix Force. So like in my comments on this Wanda wins because at the end of the day she really is far more powerful. Zantana requires artifacts to casst her spells without verbalization (same as all creatures in DC do.) So looking at the rules of magic in both universes Wanda technically won.

Random Zatanna Facts (because I love her): It is never usually her entire sentence backwards, it's just the individual words (ie: levitate me = etativel em, not em etativel) if the entire sentence is backwards, that means she's putting just a tiny bit more effort into beating your a$s. It has been stated multiple time that Zatanna is not using her full potential, even during her greatest feats. Due to the fact her father had magic, not all of Zatanna's magic comes from her mother, it's just enhanced in comparison to her father's. An angry Fire Mage, for example, is obviously dangerous, especially with their passion fueling their powers. But a disciplined Fire Mage won't only be able to control their emotion, they can think up various effective ways such as fire bolts for single targets, flamethrowers for crowds and buildings, etc.

Zatanna is one of those characters who has the same potential as wanda or even more but never gets shown truly unless you read comics. I like how this was probably the closest fight and also the most big in scale and the overall result coming down to the fact that Zatanna’s magic that she had from the get go has no drawbacks at manipulating the omniverse, while Wanda, no matter how stable she was was going to go crazy the moment she uses the life force to augment her Chaos Magic to match Zatanna (and yes, the life force and Chaos Magic are two different things. It’s only through accessing it that Wanda gets as strong as she was in house of M. And no, her recently absorbing Cthon doesn’t help her because using life force augmentation is going to forcibly drive Wanda nutty regardless of her stability improving or not, it’s been stated officially (it’s like the sorcerer equivalent of spiking someone’s food with psychoactive hallucinogens). Fun fact: the original Justice League vs. Avengers crossover event established that Wanda's power actually increases if she is in the DC universe, because the DCverse has much stronger and more accessible levels of Chaos Magic. Of course, this WAS before Wanda's baseline power levels crept upwards in Marvel as a whole in the 2000s...

Even if they were to use this, Death Battle uses a neutral battle field that doesn't favor one opponent over the other so the fights are fair.

For the most part. I'm thanos vs dark side, most of the fight is CLEARLY in the 616 universe, though tbf, dark side is just powerful enough that it wouldn't matter.

Even though Zatanna remained happy go lucky and charming at the end, I love that there were moments in the Death Battle where you can see her truly exerting herself (the shield when Wanda loses her temper, for example).

If you actually focus on the comic details even the miniscule ones, you can see where Wanda is literally losing her head while fighting omniversal level entities as for Zatanna, she fought with several while still keeping herself sane enough to create such level headed decisions that made her win most of her fights. If she lost her head like Wanda, it'll probably be a draw. Even in the MCU you can see a lot of times where Wanda used her feelings instead of her head.

@@death1406 She didn't even actually beat Parliya. She never fought her. She even had help. Swamp Thing has an essence of the World Tree in him and she just used a spell to regrow the World Tree, which brought back the multiverse, thus making Parliya disappear, as it was no longer at the end of theultiverse. She legit never threw a single spell at her. So no. She never actually defeated someone as poweful as Scarlet Witch. Not to mention that was only an AVATAR. Not the True Form so 100% weaker anyway. Even if they actually fought.

I think it's interesting that their mental state affects them in pretty much opposite ways: For Zatanna, losing confidence directly impacts the scope of her powers. The less sure she is about winning, the lower her chances. Wanda on the other hand only ever dares to tap into her larger supply of powers when she's desperate. The more her mental state deteriorates, the more risks she's willing to take with her potentially volatile abilities. If the fight had dragged on, the scales may have tipped in the Scarlet Witch's favor - but she has to overcome a huge hurdle to get there...

@@li-limandragon9287 I see that everyone in DC comics are just overpowered freaks of Nature. Like, most of the characters in DC are things you think of, but cranked up 100x. Marvel has powerful characters, but they sometimes don't scale to DC's level (eg Avengers vs Justice League).

@@baligong3592 That seems a theme, DC is more 'there are super strong characters, but in general, powered individuals are rare', while Marvel is 'people with super powers (even if lowkey) are super common, but the stronger ones not as strong as DCs, or rare to have 'uber powers' to match DC's

I love how Zatanna acts during the battle especially the juggling universes thing. She was smiling, looking down, focused at juggling, and just making Wanda mad. The battle felt like Zatanna has something to pull out of her hat (No pun intended but seriously its still on after all of this).
