The correct response to a proxy bunker rush is to cancel the Hatchery and immediately build a macro hatch in the main. In this situation, however, I will give the pro player the benefit of the doubt because the exact timing seemed awkward and the marines wouldn't have had the natural Hatchery to grind for 30 secs. A bad player would have responded by canceling the Hatchery by rote and perhaps lost but Scarlet seemed to calculate everything pretty perfectly.

Damn, I keep seeing this game after game after game. Roach ravager is just too damn slow to really get through Terran. Esp all the stimming and cheapo medivacs. Why do "pros" keep resorting to it?? You need HYDRAS, and lurkers, and lings. Punishing DPS with lots of targets. The ravagers should be treated like siege tanks - assistants, but not the main firepower!!

Serral and Dark do just fine with them, so its a skill issue. Just like most units, Roaches are very effective for specific roles. Plenty of games are won, even in these top tier games, by walking across the map with a few roaches and a couple queens.

@@wilshireanasurimbor3068 Did any of those games last very long?? That sounds like early finishes... I think roach ravager is good up until about 10mins. But between 8 to 12 mins there should be transition to other or additional units. Other races have too much anti-armor damage for roaches to be good anymore, and roach-ravager team shoots too slow to be effective, as roaches get quickly whittled away by the bonus vs armored dmg.

I mean, once baneling speed gets out, unless your opponent is one of the top 3 terrans in the world, they're going to have to do things differently. If it's just about them being useful all through the game, the same can be said of zerglings, those show up in both early and high economy midgame compositions. And like, for "directly", I guess you're talking about a good surround helping a lot? Like, that's the whole idea with zerg just getting more units per supply, so that surrounds are more viable. Idk

@@emilydegroot6436 not even with bane speed. There was no good way to engage with out taking massive casualties. You see Scarlett attempt to engage and pull back because of the damage done. Its ridiculous. Sure at pro level I guess this is okay but you absolutely have to have spellcasters to win vs terran and even protoss at some stage albeit protoss is easier to get on top of thanks to not having things sieged or having massive attack speed. Terran is beyond too strong and the devs are leaving it like this hell even the last patch was yet another zerg nerf.
