The really impressive thing to me is that Scarlett was actively distracting the enemy while grabbing that probe. When we first watched it through, I thought it was odd that her army was just sort of bouncing from base to base, not really accomplishing much. But when we watched it from the perspective of it only being a distraction while she grabbed that probe, it changed that whole situation.

In SC1 you would get separate supply counter for each race you control. That meant 400 supply.

it would mean potentially 600 supply in 3+ player matches with all races represented. my friend and i would intentionally play free-for-all 6-player maps with bad ais, tech up to dark archon, mind control workers of the ai zerg and terran, and then go all race vs each other. because of the tech headstart protoss had it would still mostly be pvp but still fun.

Was it super lucky to just have a random probe wander into her base? Yes. Was it *incredibly* insightful to leverage that into having a surprise Recall?! HELL YES! The vast majority of players in the vast majority of games would've just killed it and not thought twice. Instead Scarlett decided that today was the day to get her Harstem on.

it's mindblowing how balanced SC2 truly is. When you look a tthe units and ressources lost tab, more than 100k on both sides, but both are pretty much equal after such a gigantic game. and at the end of the day, it all comes down to the players decisions and skills, who will win at the end.Scarlett and Serral show what zerg can do, if done correctly.

god i love the SC1 dark-on bit. if you can get an opponents worker then you can get some low investment BS going XD. SC1 protoss have some glaring holes (i feel SC1 and 2 underpower protoss a lot because its like they are setup for endgame style but they don't have the power to back it up) mineral only units? marine>=Zergling> zelot. so either factions upgrade is better than what you can make. god i need to reinstall SC1 X D

I'm no professional StarCraft player but 0 workers with no resources left frees up army potential vs 25% of your potential army supply taken up by probes essentially doing nothing stifling your fire power. Ironically he had previously tried to sacrifice probes to free up supply which ended up giving the ability to use recall.

Winter a few times Kungfubanda sent a bunch of probes to Scarletts side i think his bases didnt need that many probes. instead of using apm to kill them sent them to the enemy haha

This isn't really a new strat. I've seen games with zerg transitioning to full protos years ago. Just look up 'StarCraft 2: THE ZERG... MOTHERSHIP?!' from 6 years ago. It's a classic battle. There was even one attempt to do it with terrin by continually controlling a scv.

The players were clearly having fun with this one. Banda is not maxed after min 21 in-game, is not pressuring the left side and main nearly as hard as tempests warrant, Scarlett is busy meming with the nexus.

I love that march the queen strat from Scarlett. It only misses the ability to transfuse and infest the Protoss base with creep. Which wouldn’t be hard to do (with a pro players APM, mind you) just an overlord saved on a pervert pillar for example to seed that first creep tumor.

Kinda reminds me of the old double arbiter strat from SC1. Send 1 to enemy base, recall the carrier fleet and instantly pull the carriers back as soon as the situation gets dangerous with the second arbiter oarked in home base. xD

One of my favourite units in Brood War was the Dark Archon. Mind control an SCV and a drone, give you a three-forces army. It's been a while since I've played, but what I liked of SC&BW, was that all the single player units were available in multiplayer. It really sucked to find out the MP units were limited by Blizzard.

Ofcourse you'll have some trolls but overall, she has always been accepted and defended amongst the great ones. And this was probably over a decade ago before any of this woke DEI garbage going on right now. Shes definitely one of the OG's of western trans inclusivity and it just shows how awesome the SC2 community is because we only really care about skills which is how it should be.
