But what's the Bag? It doesn't get a mention or a trademark showing unlike the Helmet and Harness although probably not stocked by Cotswold anymore-

Any chance you 've reviewed or have an opinion about the new Mescalito Trk? How do they compare with these one? Thanks.

Only tried the Mids on in the shop. I own the Trks and a tonne or other Scarpa boots. The Trk is sturdier, tougher and more cushioned than the Mid. It feels somewhere between an approach shoe like the Mescalito and a warmish weather mountain boot like my Zodiac Tech. It's versatile because the better cushioning makes it easier to hike and trek with. The mid is probably the better option for scrambling but the Trk ticks a lot of boxes in one boot. It's not a soft ride of course. It's still a Scarpa. A special mention for the lacing which is very well thought out. You get the down to the toe eyelets or the Mescalito with the instep and collar bi-material loops and locking eyelets of Scarpa's Mountain boots like the Ribelle and the ZG series. There's a bit more friction at the lower eyelets so you can have a different tension at the front of the shoes versus the instep and the collar. This is really useful when hiking as you may want a bit more volume as your feet expand. This fit is narrow but with a bit more room in the toe box. It'll work for a range of foot shapes including those with a medium width foot but wide roman toes. (like me and I can't live with La Sportiva or many other Italian boots). The Trk has lots to like. It's made me wonder if Scarpa could add a semi-auto crampon compatible mountain boot variant to the Mescalito family
