I have to do something while listening to people or drama/youtube. It's because it makes me uncomfortable to facing people's eyes directly than facing off somewhere else which lead my hands to do something as a reason. I still hear you 80% most of the time and i mostly caught some big crumbs (where the story get heated as their voice get higher and higher) and asked them back with that crumbs (ex: "i can't believe he cheat with her!!" Ay, don’t diss the goated power of finally feeling comfortable to just be with someone in the same room because they make rooms feel good! That shit’s underrated af However I do get what scarra means. Once a crush referred to me as the “nicest guy” he ever had feelings for, and while I was obviously flattered, I also thought that was insanely sad considering he dated like 4 other guys before me. No it is actually kind of hard to do for many men. I used to go to this Indian place for dinner all the time and I always had lots of friends or dates with me. Different women... attractive and intelligent and funny. We had a blast. The manager came over and she said some of the male waiters wanted to know how I was always there with all these women and before I could even think about it my answer was "If you have to ask you have already failed." Because the reason i made so many female friends is in my mind they were just people I listened to and talked to not potential dates or "hot girls" or any of that. When the talked I listened. And when I talked I didn't talk down to them. Men tend to see women as a object to acquire. It is built into how they think about women from an early age. Just listening and being interested in the person without an overlay of expectation is very hard for them to do. And people can smell that expectation a mile away. Many men have no idea how to turn that expectation off though.

Sometimes people are in it for the long haul, and I think people who say you need to be 100% mentally okay to be in a relationship is simply not true and never has been true. Mentally ill people date too, you just have to be twice as patient as you would want to be treated and if you can both understand that and also understand that sometimes people have days where they can’t be patient then even the most dysfunctional people can have a perfectly functional relationship. Sometimes it isn’t about how many bumps you run into, its also about how well you work together to build the wagon in the first place. In the same way a perfectly fine wagon can get unlucky and end up im a spot where you both agree you have to get out. Its all on so much more of a spectrum then we want to believe, because adding all the extra variables makes the reality of how unpredictable love is real. People want and need relationship advice, but everything is so situational it’s practically impossible now a days. The best thing you can tell someone is to be themselves, maybe they won’t pull constantly but when they do they’ll find someone who will love them for them. My advice is also rather shaky, ive been out of the dating game for around 3 years at this point. Maintaining a good relationship should be easy for the most part and challenging when you need to learn something new. If you feel like your relationship is going to crumble after a couple bumps in a road then you probably need to work on strengthening the relationship instead of avoiding ever-present and inevitable oncoming pot-holes. Thats just my two cents though

Some girls legit think that just having a good conversation is flirting. I've even had girls freak out at the end of the night because they realise they just spent 3-4 hours straight in conversation with a guy that wasn't their partner. Yes, it is not uncommon for girls to pre-emptively romantically reject men when they snap out of the immersion of a good conversation with one, presumably because they're afraid of where that could lead even though it hasn't gotten there.
