Hi, guy I've owned my 2011 ISF for 8 years now, and it has been by far one of the most reliable car I've ever owned and that's with over 34yrs driving and owning 25 cars. It's my DD that I use to commute to NYC 5 days week with 90,000 miles. Your correct this car has been over looked for yrs, but here in US in last yr the demand for them has gone up. You are correct the cost of ownership is much less than e90M3 or C63. Especially m3 with rod bearing issues as well as other issue they have. And as far as it's track ability are concerned it can compare to m3 and faster on track then c63. It fits nicely between m3 and c63. But cost much less to the maintain c63 and m3. Performance wise stock c63 is fastest in straight line on track m3 has slight edge in hands of pro driver but in hands of your average enthusiast it comes down to driver that has more skills. My ISF has been to several race tracks Monticello, Limerock and New Jersey Motor Sports park they were all fun to drive on. Currently my modifications list are PPE Headers, PTS Stainless Steel Cat back exhaust, primary cats deleted, secondary cats replaced with Magna Flow high flow race cats, RR Racing Tune, RR Racing tuned intake with K&N filter, port & polished throttle body, car made 432whp & 401tq thats 520bhp. I have suspension mods as well. The car is so much fun to drive it. This one is keeper. I'll be retiring soon will be picking new toy maybe pre owned 911 turbo, or ZR1 Corvette but ISF will stay in my garage it's not going anywhere.

Weapon1 ISF Ben Collins said that he trashed an rcf for 7 days in a row making somewhere near 80 laps on a small track in europe and he said nothing broke and the car still felt same lap after lap... I love the m3 and c63, but it cant do that! :)

RazorFX Hey razor yes ISF is very reliable and contrary to what people believe the car is basically track ready the only thing I would advise to change would be brake pads install track specific pads that are designed for that purpose once your home reinstall your standard brake pads. You can enjoy track session week after week as long you properly maintain ISF.

@@worldsgonebonkers4512 Might be sensible but they're ugly interior/exterior wise unless you like outdated Japanese styling (well you must do since you own an IS). Not cheap by any means to purchase too. £20k right now on autotrader. A C55 AMG is also some what reliable and costs half that.

I just picked up an Obsidian Black, July 2014 IS F, in December 2018. In immaculate condition, with just 50,000 km on it. Without a doubt the greatest car I’ve ever driven and owned. The car is so grippy! I believe there were 86 of these made in 2014, so, super rare. :)

Absolutely no chance the owner got that much extra bhp off an exhaust, especially if all 4 cats are still in place. Might be 420, 425 tops. And that’s coming from the owner of a 2009 ISF with cat back, upgraded intake and upgraded filter. I agree with other comments too...... nasty tailpipes. Check my vids out for how to do an exhaust properly in one of these. Hayward and Scott all the way.

I've had one since new in 2010. Its reliable, fast, comfortable and enough power and handling to get me into trouble. Highway trips are nice too as I can average just about 30mpg if I keep my foot off the go fast pedal. I only have a borla exhaust so dynod close to stock 420, 460 like the car in this vid must be amazing.

I have an 08 with X force exhaust system. the prices are holding steady on these cars. I'm just at 100K miles. Lexus should've added LSD in 08 vs 10 MY. two things missing, cooling seats and electric folding mirrors and the ability to open the doors by touch from the rear doors as other Lexus' can. i.e. my 07 GS350

Edward Rivera i have an 09. The 08-09s consistently get to 60 and 1/4 mile 3 to 4/10s of a second faster than 2010+. But the 2011+ make a better track time. Not sure how the 2010 does on the track to compare. I use the straight line performance at 100% much more often than handling at 100% so for me I prefer the faster straight line performance.

Don't know what Lexus was thinkn ..but to think the IS200 Sport came with Traction Control and LSD as standard. ..the first edition of ISF didn't have LSD😥 until the Facelift model came out

I think the IS-F is a good first car in our area because I found an IS350 with 140k miles for 11k but then I found two is-f with 97k miles (don't ask me how I found both of them with the same miles) for 10k, so I think the is-f is no brainer in our area so I think I will buy it as my first car next year (hopefully) what do you think I am interested to hear your opinion.

Yo dude! I've recently just brought an 08 Starfire pearl ISF and I think it's absolutely amazing! Such a split personality with the car that I could drive it like a lexus should be driven and then like you say it hits 4k and the secondary air intake opens up and Truely transforms the car. Wouldn't catch me in an M3 now... Maybe a 63 but thats because of that noise! I'm the youngest F owner in the UK too!
