Could you please tell me whereabouts this mine tunnel is specifically? I am doing a documentary about the history of Ipswich and would love to include this information.

That is a great Video Mate. My Guess. That conveyer is a bit new, Maybe Rhondda or Haenke. I remember talking to a Boxflat survivor up there in the 80s, and he told me if your looking for all the forests in Ipswich, you're standing on them. Looking at this, I can see what he meant. But, You are confusing the Clarence Moreton Basin with some Artesian basin, it has nothing to do with the Great Artesian Basin. This is a hydrocarbon basin, not an artesian basin, and it does not go anywhere near the Reef, it finishes just south of Toogoolawah. It was Campbell Newman who allowed the fracking of this resource, and before that the Ipswich council under Paul Pisasale allowed NSW councils to dump their rubbish in these mines 20 years ago. JJ Richards and Cleanaway big donors to the Libs and the ALP, Surprise !! Not to mention the feds (under the Libs) that buried 23 x F111 chassis in the same mines. The Greens in Queensland Parliament have 2 seats, The ALP have 52 seats (out of 93), they don't need the support of the greens. And I doubt you could get the greens to agree on anything as practical as this. If you want a danger to the GAB, look at the native Pilliga Forest fracking project in NSW, brought to us by the NSW Nats and Libs and SANTOS. Over 1000 wells directly into the lower end on the GAB. Despite objections from the farmers and Native title holders. The only states in OZ that have banned fracking are Vic (labor) and TAS (Libs). T-Rocks

You definitely need to come to my camp 😂 i feel every word of that and yea its rhondda bot i believe over the fences and since recovered but right on the fence line is an old track to a flooded shaft back up to a brick kiln with a disturbing vibe to the place but the track has massive cutting in it that you'd probably love. Last fence line redbank side in the really thick scrub that I can't see through on earth but I've checked every inch. Had to be convicts or a significant blackfella spot because after an hour or so you get proper deeply depressed. I'm sure it's private property but nobody has been there since I was a kid 25 years at least. I'm just concerned about ppl knowing about it as steel everywhere and some scumbag would scrap it. But yeah I'm in the bush at the top of emma st and still trying to find the history of here because all i find is about castle

@@DirtySlapper99 is that Rhondda #5, or one of the earlier ones?

@@buckchancey I'm not sure due to a brain condition but it's in the tire chipping place and i know that alot of newer tunnels exist on they're land possible that more than one is ronda. The ppl at the coonieana historical society are the ppl to see and always report to. I've found things thought long lost

@@DirtySlapper99 I also suffer memory loss, particularly after Friday night at the pub. I spent ages looking over the area a decade ago before they started remediating, but it's all changed so much since then. Will have to head out there again soon and take a look around. Maybe get some tires chipped.

@@buckchancey yeah i know what you mean. Just start from the edge that you know and it'll make sense again but give it another month as snakes are hectic and the bush is drenched

You know Asbestos poses no risk when buried? An old shaft on our farm, we put all the old fibro down there, which really, is just recycling. The PFAS etc, well thats another story.

Any chance you could tell me where this is?, I do research into mines and rail within Ipswich, recently located one of the sites out at rosewood completely untouched since 1974 when it closed
