So what if it is fake? It is trauma informed education. It teaches victims how to reach out for help and it teaches everyone else how to recocnise what it means so that they can help, in the same way that a black dot on the palm of a victim of domestic violence silently signals to another person that they need help. Personally, I had never seen this signal, so without this video, if someone flashed it, I wouldn't know what it means. So, kudos to the makers of this short.

First of all, if it was real, the guy wouldn't have left her sitting in the car alone because she could have easily left the car and run. He also would've known they were following them and was sitting randomly behind the car watching them. There is SO much wrong with this video and situation that there's no way it's real. The only thing good is the message being shown, and that's to be aware of the hand signal for someone needing help. DO NOT EVER follow someone that closely if you know there's a person in the car who is actually in danger. And NEVER attempt to rescue them yourself. You'd most likely end up dead. It’s EXACTLY how it goes, generally they stay on the phone until they’re assured you’re not following anymore. Speaking from firsthand experience! I found and followed the individual who stole my vehicle and ignored the police demanding I stop. I stopped down the street of their house and despite police telling me they’d take care of it, 45 minutes later they never showed (even though several drove by leisurely on the main road one house down). I won’t even tell you what happened when I was kidnapped. If you really believe they’re here to help… I hope nothing ever happens to you.
