Thanks for the great content! Do you have an update at all from your renovation? I checked your page and didn’t find one but I’m curious how your transition came out! Thanks!

Thanks. I haven't uploaded in quite a while. The yard is looking good. This weed killer works great. Sometimes it takes a second treatment a couple weeks later to really get the tough grassy weeds. Thanks!

Very nice! You could also use a post-emergent herbicide called "Tenacity". Tenacity is a systemic herbicide with pre- and post-emergence activity on many grass and broadleaf weeds. It's a beautiful thing.

This Image brand is often considered the "poor man's" version of Tenacity. They both work really well!

Will this kill my fescue/Kentucky blue grass?
@scaryjerryman4 жыл бұрын
Nope. I have the same mixture in my yard, and if you mix and apply according to the label, it will not harm the "good grass". The one thing I'd be careful of is the temperature needs to be below 90° when you apply.

Just another way to look at goosegrass, or “cleaver” as it’s also known: it’s completely edible!..With many more benefits than commonly cultivated greens. Those in the know intentionally protect it and harvest it before the super spiky seeds appear. The young shoots are safe to eat and very tasty raw, and id the the more mature are bothersome on your tongue, steaming or stir frying for a few minutes is all you need for a very nutritious vegetable! I’m growing mine from seed I purchased on Etsy right now. A lovely green plant in my opinion;) I know it stocks to socks, but maybe moving a few sprigs to where you want them in your veg. garden will provide you with the just variety In greens you’d love! Break off a shoot next time you pull one and see if you like it. Google it..you’ll see that it’s not only safe and edible as our ancestors knew, but sought after by many today.

Did you water it in, I watch the video where a guy said he watered it and within the seven days
@scaryjerryman4 жыл бұрын
I don't remember the instructions saying that was necessary. Pretty sure, just like any liquid herbicide, it needs to dry on the leaves, 24 hrs before any rain. It could wash it off or dilute it.

@@scaryjerryman well lol I bought another spray bottle after the 4th day of using the first one. This time I didn water it in. Just sprayed the top of grass. Now, before I use it. I watered my grass before so I know when I sprayed it would get down in the root system. Now the second half of the second time of buying it and spraying it. I bought triazicide insect killer I sprayed my whole front lawn. Then I followed right behind it after using it up with that grass nutsedge spray. And watered it in that way. And haven't watered it in yet.I believe it's on the second page couple paragraphs down is says water ( within 7 days). Since I use the bug spray, then the grass spray. You would think it would have got saturated pretty well. I did this at night to. It's Saturday and I won't water anyting until Monday giving it a chance to work on top and then rinsing it through

Nope. This stuff is awesome. Great control. Might have to touch up a couple here and there thanks to my neighbors weeds blowing their seeds in my yard, 😖, but it controls everything you spray very well.

Thanks for the update man. I've been trying to kill this gddamn goosegrass without using roundup for the last 3 yrs to no avail. Hopefully I can find this stuff since it's no longer sold at Lowe's and HD near me.

I looked at a bottle of this earlier, missed the goosegrass on its label. I'm looking at tenacity (pricey!), or Bonide Sedge Ender.

Part of the goosegrass problem and why it is around the fence and sidewalk is goosegrass likes compacted soil. It will grow in other areas if the conditions are right, but it is an indicator of compact soil. Since people cannot aerate around these sidewalks and fence lines easily, they remain a bit more compacted. Although to be honest, you're really long winded in this video. You took about 4 minutes of content and stretched it to 12 minutes, and I skipped most of it because I didn't have 12 minutes to listen. You're right though, goose grass is a real pain. I just killed and reseeded a 600 sq. ft. test patch of Rye/KBG and Tenacity will act as a pre-emergent that allows the grasses to grow, and stops a lot of weeds from germinating. It gives about 3 weeks of protection. Goosegrass is not protected as a pre-emergent, but Tenacity (Mesotrione) will kill Goosegrass after it starts to grow. Spray it as young as possible, before the 3-4 tiller stage, and it's not hard to kill. In my new seed bed, I can't spray anything yet, so I'm taking my Tanto tipped knife and just cutting it at the main root because it spreads so wide it will kill new seedlings by starving them of sunlight. Another few days and I can spray, so I'm just hand-jamming it until then. Best of luck!

So I looked it up. Not seeing much science behind it. So for now, it's ugly, it's noxious in my yard, and I want it gone. So I kill it. But if studies come out that prove its claim as a miracle weed, I'll let it grow in a back corner or something. Thanks for the heads up though!
