It's all the snippets from a show about human survivors of a crash landing on an alien planet that showed the strange and predatory and parasitic ecosystems that populated that world. Most of them were brief interactions between species in a single biome at a time, sometimes a species's life cycle, or the interactions of a specific pair of species. These nature scenes were frequently used to separate scenes and episodes, and were more cohesive in the show. I assume it all got shuffled here to avoid copyright.

This really captures what a alien ecosystem would feel like, with no comparable context we would have 0 idea what we where even looking at. We see things that MIGHT be trees, but thats as far as we can go..

Maybe if it made any biological or evolutionary sense. There wouldn't be a "final enemy" for everyone to work together against in a realistic take on an alien planet.

Trees aren't even real on Earth. It's just the convergent evolution of various plants. Hell, in the video, it might even be an animal like our corals.

This is how the heart parasite works: 1. A seed enters the host by oral ingestion or open wounds near the heart, latches into victim's heart and assumes control. 2. Infected host is psychologically prompted to build a nest in a large, dark, moist area featuring a vertical surface, host will coat up the walls with clay and place down red lights to keep pests away. 3. Host pukes an “Prime” seed and plants it in the nest's clay, the heart parasite sprouts from it. Without consuming nutrients it grows to an enormous size. 4. The set up is complete. Now the host goes about its normal business during the day, at night the parasite extract nutrients from host via a tube to the heart. 5. A heart parasite can have multiple servants evidenced by its 6 feeding tubes, it does so by making the first host vomit more seeds. The first host will be prompted to infect more victims thus creating more servants for the parasite. 6. When heart parasite wishes to propagate. It will psychologically prompt one of its host to leave; to make a new nest and puke new prime seed. Just like Sam did after being infected by Granny.
@TheAllSeeingEye2468Ай бұрын
Yeah but where the hell did it come from? We never see the guy himself get infected by a creature that gave him his parasite so where did he get it from? The only way we see these things reproduce is by having the host cough up s egg and stick it in the victim.

@@TheAllSeeingEye2468it could’ve came from ingestion instead of direct infection via a open wound on the heart. @truegreen7595 The producers state that the Hollow exchanges some information with the creatures it binds with, and that Hollow specifically ended up the way they did because they binded with a human. Said mindset and intelligence was never meant to be accessed for its kind, thus giving it the sort or awareness of greed and more. Probably explained it bad. But I'd recommend looking up their interview as it explains all of it.

@ there is no excuse for anthropoid aliens unless you’re using actors in live action. This is animated so they could have done better easily. I get the theme of the show but the execution looks lazy and stupid, like they wanted to take more risks but decided a cuter studio Ghibli look would be more marketable even though that tone is totally incongruous with the plot and setting.

This serie remind sme of a comic (i don't remember the gane but i know there are lots of them) where the characters are in a very strange planet where the animals are completly different. For example, the sea can become completly solid and destroy boats, a giant creature merged with trees and attack everything that passes in front of him, slugs that can suck your blood and a giant sea creature that look like a human mixed with an orca.

@Meepalasheep7 күн бұрын
How is this Ghibli? It's artistic pursuits that aren't funded and often undervalued. It's also a fictional alien world that often operates in a completely different way. E.g. plants with little pilots that operate it like machinery. I don't think the creators of Scavenger's Reign believe that would happen in reality, but thought it would be interesting to explore in an artistic piece. In other words, stop being lame.
