24:09....Farmtruck is leaning against a Model 3 King Midget and even in its current condition, it's worth around $3,000. There are only about 1250 King Midgets known to still exist. Athens Ohio is where they were made and the only road test was making sure that every one would climb a hill in the town without having to be pushed. I'm am the mechanic for two Model 3 versions and am picking up my own 1955 Model 2 this Wednesday. Watch for it on my channel. Excellent walk through Farmtruck and AZN!! Thanks for taking us along! Cheers! Zip~

That small yellow car in the back at 24:32 is a King Midget, around 1958. They had a Kohler 12hp in them. Used to see Shriner's using them in parades, but they were meant to be licensed and used on the road. I had one when I was 16.

I helped my dad rebuild a 70 c10. I remember going to junkyards everywhere. Best memories as a kid. I can spend all day in one and never want to leave. It amazing. I'd rather go to a junkyard than the beach. I wish I could take my son like that. I still have my first car which was an 86 trans am. It a 350/350 car now my dad helped w and last one b4 he passed. I love to get it out and let it be my sons first. I loved my dads truck. We used to take it to cruise ins. So many memories of driving it and getting all the attention. It had a 327 w a 4 speed Muncie rockcrusher. So many memories of it and the 69 gto he had.

Was given a ride in the new '73 Riviera of my friend's dad the day he bought it from the Buick dealership. The fresh 455 moved that boat pretty good. Tragedy struck not an hour later, however, when the baby brother of my friend gnawed the tip of the padded vinyl dash that sticks out like a "V" into the front seat compartment and left permanent teeth marks, while poor ol' dad wasn't looking.

You guys are so lucky to have things like that where you are..... Up here in northern Maine because of the price of steel and because everybody so poor... there's been a whole lot of history sent through the crusher for scrap weight. When I was a kid there were four or five different junk yards that had everything from musement park rides to cars from the decades to lawn mowers. . Now it's harder than hell to go and find parts for old vehicles

This reminds me of a yard (Daddy Clyde's) that was here in Nashville which is sadly gone now. I have a solid 48 Dodge "Fluid Drive" 2 door business coupe that had no missing parts at all. I had to cut down 3 large trees and use a bulldozer just to get it out and found model T wheels underneath it. Started a frame off restoration and had to store it 1/2 way through due to "life" ! Need to find some one who wants to take it over as I have no garage or time to finish it. : (

I guess living in the dry west has warped my sense of what I would consider a viable project. While I love junkyard crawling, IMO most of those cars are right on the jagged edge of not being worth the effort. I have saved a number of cars from long term storage and one thing I have learned is to spend the money up front for the best restoration candidate I can find.
