To cut or not to cut...that is the question! A basal has appeared on your nepenthes. Some say it needs to be removed to preserve the health of both the mother plant and the new offspring. Some say that it has no effect. Either way you decide, you will have to root either the mother or the offspring at some point. But which plant do you give the rootstock to and how do you root the one that you decide to make a cutting?
