I have a question, you are working in the ward and you are receiving a post operative patient ( post appendectomy) suddenly the patient asked for water to drink, what will you do? Will you give or not? Why?

Cant give water. It will cause for vomiting . But you can moisture his/her lips by wetted cotton swab. AWA should be encourage taking fluid after 6-12 hours until urine is clear (Additional - continue N/S until MO order to stop it for maintain fluid level of the patient and stop dehydration . )
