This is great, I have a question: when to use TOTALYTD and CALCULATE functions since both are producing the same results 400. The first one TOTALYTD is more easy but the second one CALCULATE is more lengthy. If you have a video, please share.

Here is a problem when you use( total YTD with date ) then get all sub total including all years in a table 2 when you used second rule then you get current year total.

TotalYTD works in direct query mode. I have used it.

if you have a dedicated date dimension table in your model, then the direct query mode will work to perform TOTALYTD and other time intelligence function...if you don't have a date dimension table in the model, then time intelligence functions will not work in the direct query mode

Hi, Thank for sharing this, however we can archive same result with " Calculate{Total Sale} Filter (Calendar_Table), Calendar_Table Year = 2022) I think so i have not tried yet this is also correct way to locate particular year amount.
