Clearly Cloud is in denial. But it seems like an excuse to not show aerith getting stabbed. Which is ridiculous honestly. If they at least show what actually happened in the next entry then this will be fine in hindsight, if not this will be a disaster that never clears up what happened. It’s obvious the two timelines are gonna mix together and somehow aerith from the alternate timeline will appear in the real timeline in the next game. How it’s gonna happen is a great question though.

It's too confusing this scene in the remake, my guess is that Sephiroth kill Aerith and Cloud it's in negation, and we see his point of view

Well some people theorise he... change the timeline. My understanding of this theory is that he copied the original death of aerith and just paste it into his universe

since we're doing spoilers, did remake kept the scene of Cloud punching Aerith? that scene was brutal, since 90s internet spoiler only had one .gif of the water funeral. 1st time I thought Aerith was killed by berserk Cloud.
