This scene is fantastic. You can only imagine the torment he went through with all these sisters growing up.

weirdly enough, this movie made me realize I had social anxiety. When I first I watched it, to me it felt like a realistic depiction about what people go through in there daily lives like being nervous to even talk to your own family members, punching bathroom stalls because its hard to conceal your regrets, or feeling like the world is against you. Then after watching it, I went ahead and looked up what the movie was actually trying to depict and that's when I found out.
@SuperN1ntendoChalmers3 жыл бұрын
I hope you get better. That must suck. For me, my family is like Barry's sisters. My solution was to tell them all to eat a big pile of moldy shit )never did anything violent) and it worked wonders. Breaking away from family is easy, but the public anxiety issues are extremely hard to overcome. Best of luck!

"I don't know if there is anything wrong because I don't know how other people are." For some reason, that line REALLY resonated with me when I first heard it. It's like it explains every character in every PT Anderson movie.

As a kid growing up with 90s SNL, I never took Sandler seriously. Seeing this movie when I was 15 completely floored my perceptions and expectations of his range. When it was announced that he was working with the Safdie brothers on Uncut Gems I was beyond ecstatic because I knew it was going to be something special like this work.

Well, it has a certain black humour behind it. I was shocked when I first saw this scene, but the ending where he's talking to the guy has a lot of evil humour in it-the sentence "Barry I'm a Dentist" says it all in my opinion.

@Lucky Luke So, since you're the one doing the "thinking" here. *Partly responsible* isn't the same as, *completely responsible*, correct? So, that would mean that Adam Sandler is still partly responsible as well; which would mean, my statement is still true and would make your comment redundant. Right moron? As I recall, nowhere in my comment did I even suggest that Adam's acting was all his fault.

My family is like this with me (I’m the youngest). It’s not like I hate them but they are super judgmental and if you happen to burst out, they make it seem like you have an attitude or something without them realizing it was because of them. Difference is that, I learned how to fight back. Sometimes, you really have to fight back (not physically lol). I had to tone it down quite a bit though because I realize that I might turn out very judgmental.
