Out of so many brilliant moments from a brilliant film, this monologue always stood out as my favorite. Michael Caine absolutely holds his own against Olivier and is a sheer delight to watch as Milo. An all time favorite!

Can someone please solve the mystery of who sang the three Cole Porter songs in the 1972 version? It’s been discussed and speculated upon for over twenty years. There are multiple threads on the internet discussing this. I believe it was probably a studio singer working there at the time of production. If anyone has the answer, please reply.

I know Michael Caine is popular but I think many still underestimate him.

Most kids these days really only know him from his collaborations with Nolan.

My favorite age of Larry. I do believe he got better with age and better acting, this movie is on the top of my list.

Happy 90th today (3/14/2023) to Michael Caine! I love how the soundtrack plays sappy music as Andrew jabbers on about how they now are friends through gamesmanship, etc., and the music abruptly stops when Milo cuts him off, dismisses Andrew's palaver for the BS that it is, reminds Andrew how he treated him before, and lets him know that they are NOT, in fact, "even."

I thought Olivier specialized in " Ham" ". ? But here he's easily outdone by Caine ! Dreadful stuff.
