Being a young adult in Chicago in the 90s was near perfection! I was surrounded by creative people who never stopped making things. Every day felt like a promising adventure.

97-2004 were the best years of my life and a transitional period of my life and it just so happened that all of my musical hero’s lived in my city. I grew up at the Fireside Bowl, that was the best period of independent music and Chicago was ground zero for it. It became synonymous with Chicago. Wicker Park is now quite Yuppy but I will always love it there.
