Daniel Defoe wrote portions of Robinson Crusoe in Scene Sequel form in 1719. Scene Sequel is not new. Walter S. Campbell considered the sequel to be one of the five parts of the Scene. He wrote that in his 1940 and 1950 books about writing fiction. In Dwight Swain's 1965 Tricks & Techniques of the $elling Writer, he slightly changed Campbell's 5-part form to a 6-part SCENE Goal Conflict Disaster SEQUEL Reaction Dilemma Decision. The 1940, 1950, and 1965 books are shown in this video.
