'An extraordianry array of precious expertise'. It is easy to tear down a millenium of tradition in a moment, easiest when done carelessly, with only superficial understanding. Much harder to evolve complex systems rationally, carefully, constructively, with consensus... hardest to pick up the pieces behind careless or thoughtless reformers!
