Hi Dear Viewers! It's been pointed out that an alternative to using the Loctite glue gun or similar (which I understand is tricky to get in the US) would be to use Gorillia's Construction Adhesive - which may also give even stronger adhesion: amzn.to/32SpxAO (you'll just need a caulking gun to apply it.) :)

Thanks Rafael! I don't make it very often to be honest, but I feel that Legion is a game that demands (and deserves) it :D
@themidwesternboi9399
@themidwesternboi9399 2 жыл бұрын
I think the reason it needs / deserves it is because it's Star wars. it's just so iconic and legion is all about recreating those Star wars battles and the Battle of hoth just isn't the same on a dinner table

I just started painting a few months ago, largely because your videos make great results seem attainable--even for someone with little or no experience. Turns out, that impression is true! Thank you for your great, professional videos, Sorastro! These must take so much time to put together, but they're a huge help to people like me.

Awesome video, as always! However, today I have a humble suggestion. In my experience, hot glue is not a good adhesive for XPS foam in the long run. The best product I’ve found for gluing XPS together is Gorilla Glue Construction Adhesive. It dries quickly, but not too quickly; and creates a very strong bond that lasts indefinitely. Thanks for the video! Just wanted to pass on some info, from my own experiences.

A suggestion for your air filter on your make shift spray booth. Spray the filter with non stick coating like Pam so you can clean the filter vs having to replace it after it gets plugged up with overspray. You'll still have to replace it, just not as often.

Hey mate! The ink has a slight glossy sheen (as does the Armour Brown actually) :)

No varnish for protection ?
@Sorastro
@Sorastro 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Guillaume! Yes, I mention near the very end of the video that the thinned PVA glue can also be sprayed over the entire scenery for protection (I just didn't film it as I did it outside to avoid getting glue all over my studio!) :)
@NinjaEnShort

@@Sorastro You spray that through an airbrush ? Not concerned about clogging it ?
@Sorastro
@Sorastro 5 жыл бұрын
@@NinjaEnShort Ah.. no, I just use a spay thingy like gardeners use for spraying plants with. Or you can simply brush it on of course :)

OK, I've managed to edit it out with the KZbin editor; it's left a slightly jarring cut which will probably haunt me forever, but will serve to remind me not to edit at 2am without thoroughly checking my work the next day! :D

guys, do not use your miniature paints on scenery building, too expensive for the amounts you'll potentially use. Cheap brand acrylics are fine, as long as you have enough colours to mix to make variants ect.
