Scenes from Superior, Wisconsin

Some scenes from the downtown and harbor area of the Wisconsin city of Superior, at the western end of the Great Lake of the same name. In the late 1800s Superior adopted the slogan "Where sail meets rail," a good description of an economy based on its role as a transshipment point for ore from Minnesota's Iron Range and grains states to its west.
Superior's population peaked at about 40,000 people in 1910 and has declined gradually since then to a 2020 population of just under 28,000.

Yes you nailed it on the nail head, former Superior resident of 54. The town has gone to shit along with peoples low selfestime that demoralize others, but at the same time have demons of there own by resorting to drugs and alcoholism to hind their own personal problems.
