@@thegiantpaperpanda it's a nice place. Im from here then moved away for work, but later found my way back. Winters are long and bitterly cold with lots of snow. Summers don't start until late June and only July is hot and humid. September's are nice and by mid October it's cold again. Just letting you know the weather aspect. I'm watching my hometown grow up in a big,big way. In the summer It's one of the most beautiful cities in America. If you are an investor local real estate is a sound bet. It's awesome for a vacation, the entire midwest is finding that out. If you retire here and have a southern winter retreat you can die a very happy person! Hope this helps.

If I ever move back to Minnesota, I would go to Duluth. I grew up in Blaine, but the Twin Cities area is too big for my taste. I'm used to living around appr. 100,000 populated. I like a little city life next to nature. I went to college in St. Cloud, I like that town but Duluth is much more scenic.

What is nice is not only is Duluth spread out to be feeling like various small cities in one big one. So are the other cities around Duluth as well. I grew up in Coon Rapids, about a mile from the city line between Blaine and Coon Rapids. The area has that feel that both Blaine and CR had in the 60s for spaciousness. But in a mountainous area.

Karma is a bitch, ain’t it. California was affordable up until the 1980s. That’s when everyone and their mothers from the mid west and east coast moved here, and made it unaffordable for those born here. Everyone’s shifting because of politics now. I never thought America would Balkanize. What a mess

@@larkatmic I live in Nevada County California and this has to be one of the most left-wing parts of this crazy state. These liberals up here are dropping like flies. Fewer and fewer people want to live here and many are moving to more livable states. Wherever they go they will take their worthless liberal ideas with them. I want to move also. There are houses for sale all over the place and the people selling aren't moving to other parts of CA. they are moving to other states!

Add the overwhelming drug and crime issues, it’s just not what it used to be. Duluth is great to visit from June through October but as far as actually living there.
