Nice video. But this not the very « scenic » route from Nice to Monaco. It’s the A8 highway ! The nicest scenic route would have been along the coast ( the so called « low corniche » ) or the best one is the « middle corniche » which is slightly higher along the hills with some nice lookout above the sea !

First, I saw the thumb image, and I immediately noticed its artistic and beauty appearance. Then, my eyes forcibly gaze to title of outputs, "Monaco Ride" I see. That was when my fingers instantly clicked without time for deliberate considerations. After slow loading process of computer (which can be as slow as slug on sidewalk on dry day), I am met with a masterpiece of very successful proportions. I hope there was another way to say this, but there isn't...this is a master output that will permanently raise quality levels everywhere and for all to see. I found that the 6 min helicopter ride, from Nice airport, to Monaco heliport is obviously quicker, and you can't beat the scenic view along the coast.

How odd I thought as I watched this: at the start you are driving west, but Monaco is to the east of Nice. In other words you did not take the road that was closest to the sea, and probably prettier.

Hi Henri, thank you for your comment. You are absolutely right. Unfortunately there were massive traffic jams along the coastal road. This route was the only route that allowed me to drive within 1 hour (battery life) from Nice to Monaco. Greets!

The guy is going backward before to make a right turn. Fastest road from Nice and much prettier is to go other way and to follow the coast. Beautiful landscape. A stop at St Jean Cap Ferrat is advised. Nice / Monaco 25 minutes with a normal traffic about.

is there a sign .. " WELCOME TO MONACO " . etc... i don't see one .. does Europe put up signs defining city or country limits ??? the way you know you are in Monaco is that red and white flags begin to appear..thanxs

Hi, the sign indicating that you're entering Monaco is on the left side of the road at 51:53. In Europe and France, every town or village has signs defining their entrance. As it comes to Borders between EU countries, only a simple road sign and sometimes a Flag indicates that you're moving into another country. Even though Monaco isn't in the EU, the border with France is almost invisible. On the main roads, there will be a sign as you can see in the video but it is possible to enter Monaco using smaller streets and not even finding it out.

I traveled extensively by road on Europe in 1987, there are very good road signs. I have also traveled throughout the USA (lower 48) by road. In LA signs are covered in dirt and grime but in europe they are very clean and clear.
