Awe man! 9 years ago! Awesome! nobody had 32s😂. One of my favorite rides was in a Polaris 900 with 27” bighorns. It was so flat to the ground and easy to manufacture at speed. Didn’t have much horsepower but didn’t need it in the tight stuff. Now I have a canam rs rr with over double the horsepower and still look back to the ole 900 with a smile.

The camera I used to shoot this footage was a Canon Vixia HF R500 with an external Azden stereo shotgun microphone. Its a budget setup that provides some solid results. Iv gone through a few cameras in this "camera unfriendly environment" and I cant justify risking a $1500 camcorder in these settings... more or less my budget doesnt allow a risk of that caliber at the moment.

Looks like much fun was had by all....Regardless of what they were riding. The 900 might need a tune-up, unless it's the James Bond edition and the smoke screen is intentional. One of the Can-Am's anti-theft alarm keeps going off. Well, maybe it just needs a brake job. :-) Great video! Keep em coming.

+EnabledShooter Glad you enjoyed the vid! The RZR900 that is smoking has hard a hard life... we cant figure out how it still runs as well as it does, some things just refuse to die, lol. It has had a rebuilt engine and the mechanic who rebuilt it messed something up and its been burning oil ever since. Runs fine, just burns a lot of oil. The Can-Am brakes are notorious for that annoying high pitched squeal. The commanders do it too.

This video was released over 6 years ago. It's awesome to see people still enjoying it.

I keep seeing the Can-Ams spinning three wheels. I sure hope when I get a SxS, all four wheels will lock up. I've been undecided for a couple years now whether to get a Can Am or Rzr. I'm really leaning towards Can Am since their most expensive 4 seat turbo is $1000 cheaper than the Rzr 4 seat turbo and comes with 4 point restraint seats, bumper, skid plate, aftermarket exhaust, etc. May even go with the base model Maverick turbo and spend 5-6k less than the Rzr. What do you guys think between the two?
@AdrenalineJunkieProd9 жыл бұрын
+Christopher Williams My personal opinion is choose the RZR hands down. Currently I believe they provide the all around best off-road machine. Cheaper and easier to work on. WAY better warranty. Larger after market. You already highlighted a serious issue Can-Am has, they are basically 3 wheel drive. This is the Achilles heel of the Can-Am platform. Their ATVs do it to. Can-Am just can't seem to figure it out. I think the only area Can-Am really has Polaris beat is the cockpit. The fit and finish of the seats and gauges may be nicer, but that's not why I buy a 4X4. You think the Can-Am is cheaper, it may seem that way, but you will end up spending more in the long run. I am not being biased, just speaking from what I have seen first hand on the trails. If Can-Am was better I'd be driving a Can-Am. You will have fun with whatever machine you choose, but the RZR made this market and I still think they own it. Look at the sale figures alone and let the numbers do the talking. Polaris should be giving me royalties for these comments.... lol. Let us know what you decide! Happy trails.
@AdrenalineJunkieProd9 жыл бұрын
+Ray K Well said Ray, I agree. This is always going to be a game of give and take. Its a catch 22, when you gain an edge in one area you often sacrifice something in another. I too compare my RZR to a mini trophy truck, the Maverick still feels like an ATV on steroids. I can't explain it either, I just feel better in a RZR. The RZR feels very safe and stable both at speed and crawling around. Its also much easier to maintain and work on. After-market is much larger and also cheaper. The machine has a better layout in my mind. Polaris really offers a great machine, and as far as quality control goes, if its an issue Polaris messed up you can be 100% confident they will fix it at their expense under warranty. All bias set aside, at this point I still recommend RZR over Maverick, however, you never know what Can-Am has in the works, they are doing a good job closing the performance gaps model by model but Polaris still appears leaps and bounds above the competition. In conclusion, both machines are great, as a package but I still think the RZR has more to offer all around.

Thanks a lot for the help guys. Really appreciate the reviews.

great vids, keep em coming. I was planning on buying the rzr S 1000 because I figured the shorter wheelbase would be better for trail riding and tight maneuvering, but I like the better suspension of the xp. In your experience, how does this pan out on the trails in the real world?
@AdrenalineJunkieProd9 жыл бұрын
+jdwinton5411 If you have the budget for a 1000XP then do it. The shorter and narrower wheelbase may be good for manoeuvrability at times, but there is no harm in a 3 or 4 point turn if need be. The extra length helps in areas like hill climbs and descents but hinders in manoeuvrability occasionaly. The thing that hinders most in the sense of keeping you from fitting places is width in my opinion not length. In general I think the 1000 XP is the way to go. They do excellent everywhere. Trail riding, wide open, jumping, high speed and crawling, the RZR 1000 XP is a really well balanced machine. As you said, the suspension on the 1000 XP is in a league of its own in comparison to the other models. Not to mention, the after market support is enormous. You won't be disappointed with either, hell, even an 800 RZR is a blast, but the 1000XP is what you want. If you don't get the 1000XP you'll always be thinking you should have. I drive a 900XP and love it, but Id trade it for a 1000XP any day. I wouldn't mind a nice new RZR 1000 XP Turbo... lol.

They aren't in this video but how do you like those terminators? are they 30x10x14? did you notice any power loss and do they hookup well?
@AdrenalineJunkieProd9 жыл бұрын
+chad xp1000 A bunch of our guys run them. Ya, they are 30X10X14. Not the greatest grip when its dry but when its moist or wet they grab hard. They have a very aggressive bite and if you aren't careful you will easily blow a front axle or a front differential if you have upgraded axles. They do well on the trail and I'd have to say they are one of the better tires we have run, especially in the price range. I don't like them for high speed hard pack or drifting around, but that's not really their intended purpose. Would I buy a set? Not if they were my only tires, they don't suit my personal riding style or the terrain mix I ride. If they were a secondary set I would consider them. A bunch of the guys that run them love them. In general its a great tire if you are looking for a highly aggressive all terrain and you know how to modulate your throttle. I'm a hot headed throttle monster and love wheel spin, therefore, these tires equal carnage to me. I also ride a lot of high speed gravel, field, and road so I need a tire that is more oriented to all around use since I hate switching tires all the time. I also don't go out looking for swamps in the RZR, usually if its a swamp I try to go around it. I have an ATV for mudding. Tires are a tricky subject, very dependent on personal preference and where you ride. All in all they are a good tire.

Do you like Polaris or can-am better
@AdrenalineJunkieProd8 жыл бұрын
Hey Javonnia, I drive a Polaris RZR XP and in my opinion the RZR is the top dog right now, especially for this kind of trail riding. Honestly though, I do like the Can-Am Maverick, especially the new X3. Can-Am makes some great machines, I am a big fan of the Can-Am ATV's. The Renegade and Outlander are hard to beat. Both Can-Am and Polaris have pros and cons. What I usually tell people the biggest deciding factors to my overall choice is that the Can-Am has a poor front drive-line design in my opinion. The Polaris 4WD system functions much better and Polaris has the best warranty on the market hands down. I have owned 2 Polaris RZR's and it has been a very positive experience overall. Don't kid yourself, there have been some expensive lessons along the way but the positives greatly outweigh the negatives I have experienced. I am by no means affiliated with either company, these are just opinions I have formed from watching the various machines perform on the trail. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!

That's not too far at all. I'd love to organise some sort of bigger ride next year where anyone can come, seems there's quite a few more people riding in our general area than I thought.

How do we join the adventures?
@AdrenalineJunkieProd8 жыл бұрын
We share the same first name Julian, so your already ahead of the game, lol. Not many of us Julian's around, haha. Where about's are you located? We ride mostly in Southern Ontario, Canada but should be heading down South to the United States at least once or twice this summer if all works out according to plan. I've really been wanting to go on a few road trips and ride with some of the people that watch my videos. I have a lot of invites, just not enough free time to take up all the offers.

Nice to meet you Julian I live in Hamilton, Ontario and would be interested?
@AdrenalineJunkieProd8 жыл бұрын
Well that's pretty convenient man, most of us live in the Hamilton area too. Shoot me an e-mail if you want and I'll send you my contact info and maybe you can join us for a ride in the future. You can find my e-mail under the "about" tab on my KZbin Channel.

Polaris RZR XP 900 is 50 inch of width? Thanks
@AdrenalineJunkieProd7 жыл бұрын
Hey Andrea Ottolia, the 2011-2014 Polaris RZR XP 900 models were all 64 inches wide. The Polaris RZR 900 Trail is 50 inches. Trail Models are 50 inches, sport models are useually 60 inches and XP models tend to be 64 inches. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I believe this to be generally true.

in videos i have seen, the can am seems to be the one to climb around better but this video show the rzr to be the winner. this my opinion anyways.

that one mavrick looks like it has studed tires why ???
@AdrenalineJunkieProd9 жыл бұрын
+metaglia buck The ground is frozen in this video so the studs provide massive traction gains on hill climbs and on steep descents. We don't run studs in the summer months. Its really sketchy in the winter running on the ice with no studs on trails like these. You have hardly any grip so you get loads of wheel spin but worst of all you have no braking going down steep hills. Without studs there is hardly any control on steep descents.

I personally think can am has the power, but Polaris has the stronger pull due to the Awd. Could you check out my channel and subscribe I subscribed to you. thanks
