Scenic Virtual Walk in Mossel Bay with Nature Sounds - Garden Route, Western Cape, South Africa

Have you thought about visiting Mossel Bay in South Africa? We filmed this video on our early morning walk at sunrise, to give you a virtual walking tour of this scenic coastal town on the Garden Route. You’ll hear all the noises and nature sounds that the locals hear - birds chirping, roosters crowing, dogs barking, seagulls at the harbour… and you'll see the things we see - waves crashing on the beach, the view across the bay, the sun rising in the sky and other walkers on their morning walk through the town.
We start at the top of the hill and walk down towards the centre of town, past the old stone buildings, to the harbour. From there we walk along the beach-side path towards The Point and through to The Poort - the famous rock pools under the lighthouse, at the Cape St Blaise cave.

A beautiful morning, but I didn't really feel I had seen anything much of Mossel bay by the end of it. Can I make a suggestion you get on a bicycle and cycle round Mosselbay - we would get to see so much more of the town and environment that way. I have only been there once and my appetirte was whetted on that occasion but I would like to see the dock, some historical bits and a closer inspection of the lighthouse would be nice.

I miss living in Mossel Bay. This video begins about 1 block from my house there! I would take this exact route while going for walks or going to do some fishing down the hill from the yellow store. Great burgers there! lol Thank you for the video. I hope to get back there for family and friends soon.
