As a teenager many years ago I read Slocum, Robin Knox-Johnson and others and was inspired to sail the world in my own yacht. Then read one line in a book that ended that aspiration. "Sailing the world is a great way to see the sea." Have since kept my sailing to coastal and fossicking, with flights to see those parts of the world that beckon me. Still believe what Toad said in "Wind in the Willows". Avid follower of Ran, Delos and Alluring Arctic. And Zatara. And a few others. I can share their adventures, successes, trials and tribulations and appreciate the opportunity to do so. Thanks to you all.

Enjoyed watching you go through the locks. A few years ago I helped a friend take his 45’ down the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway. 28 locks. The first one dropped 80’!

Will, I google mapped every reference in the video! Loved it. Thanks for taking us with you in this journey. Going through the locks was wild. I would've loved to see more of lake Okeechobee but completely understand condensing 5 days+ in just 45 mins. Keep up the good, informative, and adventurous content. I just subscribed.

Great job. I did it reverse trip but imagine if the fiberglass muffler was cracked to prevent you going over 8 knots before pressure opened up flow of water in the engine compartment. That was my head scratcher because we couldn’t find the leak going 20 knots. Your doing great captain

Blowing out of the dip stick is a sign of a peessureized oil pan. Could be simple as plugged crank vent system. Excessive blow by or even a head gasket.

Although I appreciate the work you have done to make this footage available, I’d like to make a suggestion. When moving the camera, please do it slowly and don’t go over the same thing more than once. The same applies for zooming. If you’re going to zoom, go slowly. Many thanks.

Great job running the boat. Your first mate did a great job too, she has been around a boat before. I would suggest buying a Gopro Hero 9, don't need the latest go pro and setup on the bow, you can also mount your phone to get throttle and power footage. I always like to see how the controls are being used to pull into gas dock and docking. Thanks! Checkout Sailing la Vagabonde footage, Alina does all the shots and editing, #1 sailing channel.

I have started my search for a live aboard and it seems like most decent boats, with decent pricing, seem to come from the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area. How do I get pricing of having the boat delivered from there to St. Pete? I just need ball park as I plant to factor that fee into the purchase price. For reference, I am looking at a 45-50ft.

How wise is it to venture out into the ocean on a vessel you only just took command of? I've heard accounts of people going out and having the weather turn so the inlets are a no go. That and mechanical failures on the outside that can get dicey real quick. Overall nice review of a voyage from one side of Florida to the other. Thanks for sharing.

I'm sorry. I couldn't watch this video as bad as I wanted to. The way you wave the camera around in your excitement is just more than I can do. I have a history of vertigo and trying to focus while you're waving your camera just is making me ill. I'm sorry. Msybe in another video I can watch. Look around for a gimble and a go pro. Those seem to be more stable. Good luck with your channel though.
