The thing with luxury fragrances is that the markup is SO high. They cost so little to make and it's purely marketing that convinces us they're worth so much. I'm all for dupes and clones that aim for smaller profit margins with equally good products.

So little to make, ok... but you don't ignore the time it took to make it... that is where the cost is. It takes time to blend, create what you have envisioned perfectly, likely going through trial and errors until you get it right. Then the ingredients used are not some cheap oils but quality, then to the design and so forth. All this is a lot of time... and, time is money.

i think clones just open up the appreciation of fragrances to the masses which is good. And i like youtubers who go out of their way to recommend them as ultimately most of us want something accessible.

Ard Al Zaafaran midnight oud is a great clone of Amouage Interlude man. Regarding the safety question, I'm pretty sure with the original brands I would have the same concern, because they simply do not invest in safety testing the ingredients, it's the dark side of the whole fragrance industry and the beauty industry as a whole. It's the reason why hairdressers get cancer at a larger rate than the general population (because they interact with these chemicals in their daily job) . Clone fragrances usually will have the same chemical ingredients... the way they dupe them is by putting the original through a mass spectroscope and replicating the ingredients, which are chemicals of one sort or another. One way I try to limit the possible damage is to only apply fragrance to clothes, rather than skin and limiting the number of sprays.

I like clones when there more inspirations, more like twists on the OG dna. I used to hate clones myself but lately with these absurd prices i totally get people for getting clones of fragrances, i do it too now (i quite enjoy Alexandria fragrances which is a clone brand)

Hallo Kamil, gerade lunch vorbei und nun wieder ein sehr schönes outdoor Video. Interessantes Thema! Nun man sollte jede Entscheidung respektieren ( Original oder Fälschung). Der Markt ist groß genug für beides. Ich persönlich brauche keine Luxus Düfte um meine Persönlichkeit zu steigern. Diese Erkenntniss gewinnt man wenn man älter wird. Ich richte mich hauptsächlich nach dem Duft - egal ob Original oder Fälschung - hauptsache es gefällt mir. Nicht jedes Original riecht super sowie auch nicht jeder Dupe! Ich habe vor über 15 Jahren ein Parfüm im Homeshopping gekauft und ich schwöre er roch wie D&G Light Blue Intense und dieser Duft war erst 2017 auf dem Markt. 😉 Wahrscheinlich sind in manchen Dupes auch die Originaldüfte drin. Den Gewinnumsatz macht die Menge! Business bleibt Business! Wünsche dir mit deiner family einen schönen Sonntag✌❣

Yes, I would love to see a video dedicated to fragrance clones. I respect their job. I say whatever works for you.🙂 Sometimes I want the original and, sometimes I want the clones. All depends of different things. I will share my clones later😄, but right now I am wearing Dua therapy from Dua brand it's a clone from Musk therapy from Initio. Thanks enjoy your day Kamil. 👍🌞

Beauteous delight from Dua brand/Feve Delicieuse Dior 2. Tanasuk Al haramain Parfum/Intense Cafe Montale or Rose Vanille Mancera. 3. Guess seductive noir/ Monguerlain for women. 4. Love Chopard, Chopard/ portrait of a lady. 5. Dua therapy from Dua brand/Musk therapy Initio. 6. Club de Nuit Armaf for women/ Coco Chanel. If I remember more, I will write it here. If I like a dupe more I will buy that instead but usually I have only found that with 1 scent so far. My concern with dupes is ingredients. With name brand there is usually a trust I have that the ingredients are what they say and they will be skin safe and some brands make an effort to be sustainable. With the dupes I don't have the trust like with name brand where if they say it's vanilla is it actually vanilla or something else entirely that is harmful to my skin but just smells like vanilla.

A manufacturing cost of $1-8 per unit just isn't luxury to me, regardless of the brand name or advertising behind it. The recent surge in clone prices definitely muddles things. You can get great discontinued fragrances now on the grey market for half the price of some of these new clones. 😵‍💫 Supply and demand no doubt. Urged on by social media.

I'll always buy reasonably priced designer fragrances over a clone of the same thing, but I'll never buy a niche fragrance because of the price but I would buy a clone of one so really the niche brands aren't loosing a penny and because the clones of designers aren't that much cheaper I don't think they'll lose as much either.....maybe..well not from me anyway

Clones just prove that they are milking their fanbase and selling them hype and nothign else. Sure, the quality is a bit better for some, more for others, but on average they are selling you bullshit and making millions off of that.

Buying clones is absolutely a big no for me. I blindly purchased a few clones, and none of them satisfied me. Quality, longevity, performance, and presentation are so disappointing. Clones brands are just another deep rabbit hole. Filling up tons of clones on the shelves is just collecting dust over time.
