Absolutely I LOVE the scent reviews that details intensity and longevity. Of the two, longevity is most important - I don't mind adding a bit extra wax to make it work, but my schedule means I just don't have time to replace wax every day. (I change it Wednesday night after work, and Sunday afternoon - and all but one of my warmers are on 24/7) Your channel is my go-to when I google scents to see if they'll last for me. I agree -- I *DO* see the importance of lighter scents. I have several customers that prefer it. But I can only add so much extra before the wax is pouring out of the dish... and it's not gonna make me find time to change wax more often; I'll just not use the weak ones and stick to what I have time for. Give us some stronger scents! (or at least alternate - weak one for this release, then a strong one, then a weak one. Not a dozen weak ones then a strong one)

Yes - the gentle scents (SIGH) … it’s not a trend I like seeing. The problem is they are always many months (to more than that) ahead. So if people complain now and by some chance they correct / pivot, we won’t see that adjustment for about a year I’d say! 😫

Thanks for sharing your empties Patricia! I think I most care about the strength. I have come to terms that wax in my open concept has to be changed every day. I think all scents I have gotten at least 2 days in smaller rooms like bedrooms, small bathroom. But definitely there are some scents that in my open concept don’t make it a full day. I have 6 cubes of Ruby nectarine going now and that’s a boomer! Enjoy the strength of that one! I have great performance from the Red bar too
@PatriciaG-NosetoToes Жыл бұрын
Yes my open concept is a “change most every day” kind of space. Sometimes I put scentsy in early morning and then at supper add a compatible vendor wax in my other (24w) hot plates. The scentsy can’t survive the supper making process at times. Other spaces I can usually leave the wax a couple days, up to 3-4 depending on the scents “star quality” 🤣
@zenmama187 Жыл бұрын
I’ve figured it out! Your -ar words are long As and similar to a NY accent but only for that syllable. I like hearing about longevity. I like a Boomer! Lol and I agree that Scentsy needs more medium strength smells. I have such a large great room that your longevity feedback helps me know not to waste wax out there and put it in a smaller space.

Yes I like to know how strong AND long a scent is … The most common thing I hear from scentsy reviews is “ it’s too light for me “ or “ stick to small rooms not open concept worthy” and I agree with your percentage of three quarters of bars should be at least medium. Yes, you want some lighter bars as not everyone likes them to smack you in the chops but Scentsy bars are not cheap in general and you want to smell the bar you spend good money on , not have to stand over the warmer to get the scent. I’ve got my fingers crossed that we get a chance to vote back Vanilla Oud. I’m warming my last bar - it was getting juicy - from summer of 2021 I think. After I lost my club my up-line managed to scrounge several for me. I warmed it in my living room used a whole bar in three warmers. It’s still scenting the room day 3. That brings me to the question of the month. Sometimes strong scents die fast especially fruity scents (at least for me) & I prefer scents that throw well & last about two days. I turn my warmers off at night so let’s say 28-30 hrs. Usually when I review scents that’s my benchmark - could I smell them enough to enjoy & did they last a decent length. I don’t have the vaulted ceilings some of you have so it’s not as challenging for me. Oh & yes to Ravenclaw 🙌

My preference is intensity and a description of the scent as Scentsy’s descriptions don’t always ring true. I think longevity is more subjective depending on room size and air flow, etc. I chuckled on the Pineapple Rose comment that your husband liked it….”of course you did.”😂😂 You got through lots of older bars as well as new scents. Great mix! Have a great weekend! 😊
@PatriciaG-NosetoToes Жыл бұрын
I would feel incomplete if I stopped reporting on longevity. But you are right - depends on many factors. All are subjective so I guess that’s why we have to watch so many people to get an overall consensus. My husband seems to enjoy florals. He’s a big tall tough guy. But loves the florals
@jackiejbee Жыл бұрын
@@PatriciaG-NosetoToes Yeah, I think a review would be incomplete without a comment on the longevity, it’s just not a huge deciding factor for me. I consider strength/intensity and scent description more than how long it lasts. But that’s just my personal preference. Keep up the great work! Your reviews are some of the best!👍
@vibrant_vision Жыл бұрын
The other thing that occurs to me, is that I prefer to know about longevity over strength, because, longevity is more objective, either you can still smell it, or you can’t, but strength, seems to be somewhat subjective, because when someone really likes the scent, or really, actively dislikes, the scent, they may be Inclined to see it as being much stronger than someone who just feels neutral about the scent. I’ve seen a lot of conflicting information where many people think it’s sent is a powerhouse and others think it’s extremely weak, but, reviews regarding longevity seem to be much more consistent among various reviewer‘s. That is, when reviewer’s take the time to actually let ascent run its course. If someone has the money to be changing out their wax every day, the more power to them, but I am not that person, and probably never will be, and I would be willing to say that the vast majority of people, even in the developed world, don’t have that kind of money either. Not throwing any shade here, and to be fair, perhaps those who change out their wax on a daily basis, only have a few warmers.

@vibrant_vision Жыл бұрын
Absolutely both, longevity and intensity. Wax is expensive, wonderful, but very expensive. Even if I always bought a six pack, and so got every bar for only five dollars a piece, by my estimate, if I put two cubes in each warmer, and use warmers in all the rooms of my house wear a warmer is appropriate, That’s a total of 16 warmers, two in the living room, two in the dining room, two in the kitchen, one in the hallway, a mini in the bathroom, three in the den, which is very large, two in her master bedroom, one in my sons bedroom, and two in the office, if I put only two cubes in each warmer, just to fill up all the warmers, it would take 32 cubes of wax, which is For bars, so $20, and if that wax in general less only a day, that’s $20 a day, which, over the course of the year would be, I shutter to think, $7300. Obviously, I’m not going to have every warmer running 24 seven. But I know people who do. But when you find a scent that will actually go for three days or even five or six days, that is a tremendous value. And I at least, and I’m sure a lot of other people, really would like to know if something can go For a very long time. Conversely, if something is extremely strong, even if it doesn’t last very long, if you’re the sort of person who usually has three or four cubes each in two warmers in a room, but I sent it so strong, but only one cube in the entire room, or one Kuiper warmer will do the trick, that’s also going to save a lot of money, and give you great value. Sorry for dictation errors, voiceover won’t let me edit a message in a KZbin comment, no idea why.

It's gotten so much stronger for me and I'm really looking forward to giving it a warm in the main living space (if Spring ever gets here, in the middle of another major winter storm as we speak 🙄) Please don't feel self conscious about the way you say bar. I feel partially responsible for that because I'm the one who told Ramona that even after 30 years in Texas the way she says bar gives away her East coast heritage. I love the East coast accent so it certainly wasn't meant in a way to poke or tease. One of my best friends growing up family was from the East coast and her parents especially had really thick Newfoundland accents. I used to tell my mom I was going over to play and listen to the parents talk 😄 You're amazing, from nose to toes and that includes the way you say bar 😊❤
