Beautiful way to store your wax! Gorgeous and sentimental antique desk, oh I love it! As for restoring it, I think it's really just preference these days. I'd leave it or maybe touch it up if any damage, but others love painted furniture. It's yours to love and use as you please.

Thank you Angela! Almost all of my furniture was passed down from my grandparents so it has so much sentimental value to me. The china cabinet and my bedroom dressers were theirs as well. What a great video thank you for sharing. I love your grandparents bureau it is just perfect. I have one similar but only ever use a wood oil to bring out the shine. I think if you got it valued you would be advised to maintain its originality and not refurb. Love the warmers you have chosen for each space. . Beautiful calming, relaxing home sweet home. 👍🏻

The Homestead warmer (Home Sweet Home) was one of my first ever warmers which I bought back in 2012/2013, and I don't know if it was new at that time or a repeat in the catalogue. I still use it to this day, everyday, because it's an awesome performer. I've been watching your videos and was wondering if you've had better success with the car bars/ circles? I personally like the circles better as they last longer but I tend to go with stronger scents. I recommend Baked Apple Pie as a test - I'm in Ontario, Canada, during winter, and it lasted 2 weeks for me. Thanks for sharing! 🧡

Yes you would reduce the value of that desk by painting it. But it’s yours now,- do what you want. A restoration specialist would be able to tell you more about preserving the value. Sooo many things would bring the value down even just to repair. I have plenty of beautiful antiques from my Mom, and if they need repair well I’m going to do it for reasonable cost. I’m with you on Vanilla BlackBerry. One of my very favorite bars. I stocked up at clearance/flash sale & removed it from the club. I’m going to regret that someday but now I have 10.

ok ty i thought i was being wacko and that raspberry lollipop was soooooo light my friends who dont live with me smelled it immediately but me who lives here and burns wax like u all the time was like i smell nothing i put it in my powder room ... small bathroom and when i put something in there that is light it usually takes over not the resp lolli it smelled like sooo light... im ordering some of those owls ... probably one for now but i have couple light smelling ones that i love.... and would love to smell them full blast... love the skinny dippin... wish they would bring back dewy or dont we or something like that its sooo amazing but i think make a splash kinda is the same but less strong... anyways i digress i have high ceilings not open concept but i feel like my scents get lost =( im using the crush-diamond warmer and it was amazing for like the first year but now im needing a new one so that is why i watched this tour cause i wanted to see what throws the best and i dont mind cheating on scentsy if i get a better throw with high ceilings a bigger livingroom lol. thank you for posting and showing us ur warmers ur a rockstar

Of course, everyone talks about bars sweating and leaking when they're stored upright... Blah, blah, blah. If you line the bottoms of your baskets with aluminum foil, it keeps the oil off the wicker and makes it easy to wipe up. I prefer foil over wax paper because the foil is bendy and fitting, so it doesn't shift when the basket moves around. Just an idea, take it or leave it, for what it's worth. 🙂 Gorgeous house. I love it. Thanks for showing.

Please, please don't refinish it unless you have it done by a professional with experience in antiques! It's so beautiful the way it is. I suspect it would lose value, but it's just so beautiful the way they left it to you. The wear is like physical evidence of all the memories. All those precious things that seem to drift away with time. What a treasure.

Is that an outlet beside the dresser ? I'd put one in there! She would probably not even go near it because it's a tighter space. Maybe grab one that doesn't glow then she won't be as drawn to that area ? Or they have cute princess wall fans (I am sure you do know)

Don't ruin this family heirloom with paint. It will definitely make it worth far less. My brother and I have a lot of furniture 60-100 years old and we would never dream of painting the pieces. Your grandparents piece is so beautiful.
