A very intriguing track for Schammasch… I like it. This shows Schammasch is continuing to experiment with their sound on this new album, and expanding their horizons even more. It makes me wondering what they’re going to do for the follow up to this album

Ghost, Bowie, Maiden, The Cure, Fields Of The Nephilim... Myself, I hear some Mastodon in the second half. The fact that all the “this sounds like” comments are so random can only be a good thing.

So this album was my first experience with Schammasch. And I feel compelled to use the word "experience" there. Wow. I listened to it uninterrupted front to back last night. It's a remarkable journey. There were things I loved, things I hated, things I didn't understand, and things that clicked immediately. This is a masterful work right here and I can't wait to listen again and again to unlock its secrets. Sorry for the slightly pretentious sounding post, but this album just makes we want to type things like this. Great stuff.

Ok, am I the only one who's not digging this? I know Schammasch is one hell of an experimental band, but still, I was expecting a hell of nasty riffs and blast beats when I clicked on this video. I hope the rest of the album is going to sound louder, faster, and crazier than this.
@mielutuzburator73295 жыл бұрын
I didnt dig it at first, but now I am crazy about it. The same happened to me with SOTM and their last effort, SUN; at first I was like wtf are they doing, only clean singing? Now that album is one of my favorites of all time and the only album I have ever reviewed which scored above 95%.
@alexanderschildknecht20905 жыл бұрын
@@mielutuzburator7329 I totally agree, SUN was their best effort yet and they really got to the next level with this record. One just needs to be a little more open minded. Schammasch always experimented with their sound (see Metanoia or the last EP for example) and if I recall correctly the lead singer stated in some interviews that he is eager to break boundries and to never do the obvious. Expecting heavy riffs and blast beats all the time is wrong in the first place because this band never only relied on these elements. This song is the most experimental one on the record anyway...hope they do more in this vein.

Why did they have to make a videoclip of the less interessting song in the whole album?
@Sativasoldier666v24 жыл бұрын
What do you mean "less interesting"? this is the song that stands out the most from their whole discography.
@nyaatarara4 жыл бұрын
@@Sativasoldier666v2 Because all the other songs are either avant garde or progressive black metal and this one song is a gay-assed pop-rock one that they included in the album to make it more sellable
@Sativasoldier666v24 жыл бұрын
@@nyaatarara Oh is THAT why they included it, i thought they included it because they've got a broad knowledge of genres and can play more than one thing which is why they made 'Triangle', a triple album where each part sounds completely different, but no they included it to sell more albums? Schammasch comes across as a band that enjoys their craft, they don't come across as one of these corporate sell-out bands that just wants to make money. But hey that's your opinion, nothing wrong with being closed minded, hopefully your horizons widen a little bit more as your tastes mature.
@nyaatarara3 жыл бұрын
