I’ve owned SCHD for years. This is due to the financial holdings dropping when the fed announced. This isn’t a sexy holding it’s stable payouts and growth. The red flags etc listed are click bait, know your holdings and how they relate to the larger market

@ my understanding is that SCHD puts collected dividends in a fund and every quarter issues a dividend and the remainder is used to rebalance the fund based off its internal trade plan or algorithm. The problem right now is interest rates are higher than the current dividend yield. But there is speculation that 2025 will be more bearish leading to a weakening labor market which will result in a decline in interest rates. The longer the treasury rates stays high, it might be more imperative to hike yields (or issue more of its dividend fund) and decrease its reinvestments of the dividends. Just a couple of my thoughts on the direction of the fund
