Honest question... I've been eyeing an unnecessary purchase and am torn between Schecter and PRS. I'd love to stay under $800. What I want is a physically SOLID guitar with a fixed bridge. I've watched a ton of review videos of Schecter guitars where the player says that the Schecter guitars are so satisfyingly so. Do you find this to be true? I love that I see a good number of Schecters between $400 and $600 and video reviews of those models are very positive. My two electrics are both 80's Ibanez RoadStar and RG, both very nice but I want to own a hardtail guitar and want to try a different brand. What model, if any, of yours impresses you in this way? What model would you recommend? Thanks!

Seems like you Schecter guys can answer a question I have.. I was thinking of picking up the USA custom shop made Pro version of this guitar. But that costs $3.5k . I was wondering if it's worth paying more than twice for that when this import version comes with literally the same specs and appointments. Heck this import version has a through neck while the custom shop one has a bolt- on one. No idea why.

My main squeeze is a Schecter E-1 Custom Special Edition and it is the best guitar I’ve played (aside from the 3-way switch needing a replacement after 6 months). And that Keith Merrow looks and sounds amazing.

I got a KM6 MkII on a Musicians Friend Stupid Deal of the Day. The first thing I fell in love with was the Fishman pickups. Even without the three way tone selector, they're incredibly versatile.

I have the 7 string mkiii and it is just amazing, took a little getting used to the fishmans, cause I had his other models with the nazgul sentient pups, but after playing for a few days, the palm mutes just come alive. Love it

Awesome looking fiddle. This could merely be a coincidence but it looks heavily inspired by a Mayones. The Duvell in particular. That's absolutely NOT a bad thing to be sure. Getting a Duvell 6 with one of those awesome poplar burst tops is a life goal for me, but it'd require me to hit the lottery first sadly. I love Keith's signature guitars. The specs have always seemed tailor made for what I'm looking for in a guitar. Hipshot or similar fixed bridge, HH configuration with good passives, ebony fretboard with 24 jumbo frets(preferably stainless steel), with luminlays and good locking tuners. Pretty much my ideal specs at this point in my guitar tastes. I had one of the first KM6s that came out. It was the trans white burst model and I absolutely loved that guitar, played fantastic and looked even better. I'm a real sucker for white guitars, especially quilted transparent white whether it's a cap/veneer, etc. Sadly I had to sell it to fund another purchase but I've been on the lookout for another one like it, but this one is definitely piquing my interest like that white KM6 did originally. I'll have to play one when I get a chance. Never used those hipshot cylinder style locking tuners but they seem pretty neat. Good video and great work on the guitar, Keith.

Not trying to troll, I'm just on the fence with spending $1700 on a Korean guitar. For basically the same price range you can get a made in Japan Ibanez Prestige. I bought a KM7 MKii shortly after they first came out and had to send it back for QC issues. I have been unsure about them ever since. But they do have every feature I would like to have on a guitar.

It's a shameless copy. Completely jacked the headstock shape and neck. However you could argue Mayones just copied Blackmachine. The chain of inspiration never ends, all the way back to the first Strat.

Since your STL Tonehub review, they opened the floodgates and made all the existing packs available for trial download. I’ve been trying to work my way through each of them but there’s just way too much stuff (a lot of which feels duplicated across multiple packs) to run through and still pay close attention to every little detail. I got the MK1 in 7 trans white and it destroys!! I did have to swap out the Seymour duncan nazgul though, didnt really care for the sound/tone. I swapped them for Instrumental SFTY3-7s which i highly recommend to anyone

Nice I have the km7 mk2 only thing I don't like about it is its to thin for installing an evertune bridge and quickly lost interest in the black finish but that's personal just tired of red and black guitars these days. Been trying to sell it for months because I want an evertune bridge problem there is 95% of guitars with an evertune are black and red🥴 oh and mine had the fishman pickups I wanted the nazgul set but got a 200$ sale price match drop and was so excited I didn't even notice until I got home.

It is only my opinion.Lots of modern metal guitars has a bad clean tone.In this case when he was playing funk Fender would sound much better.Metal sound is perfect.But only Gibson and Fender has this something in a clean tone I like.
