I’m torn between this or the schecter van nuys. Leaning toward the van nuys cause of the coil tap what do you think?
@sinisterj732 жыл бұрын
@@brandongordon123 If I had to do it over again I would get the Van Nuys as it has USA pickups stock. The NJ pickups are really good, but not great and that is my only complaint, also the Jack fowler model has USA pickups and is just like this except in a HH config. But overall the NJ can't be beat for the money and it plays like butter, then just melts in your hands.

Cheers, sounds really good, does it work well at lower volumes having a master volume control? Must be able to get really loud also being 50w tube! I was looking at the Marshall origin 5 for low volumes but I think they get a lot of stick for having an 8” speaker,
@andydavid93 жыл бұрын
@@mattcrisp5548 yeah man, I use it all the time at low volume. I think I recorded this video with the master at like 2 or 3 (but one of the valves was on the way out so I was loosing a bit of power. 3 days after filming this they all needed replacing) so now it’s fixed it’s more powerful and I don’t need it at 3 no more haha. It’s a really simple amp and has a great tone to it. I’d say only get the 50 if you’ll actually use it for gigs so you can drive it more, you’ll be surprised at how good it’ll sound! Have you checked out the Supro Delta King. Small amp but sounds pretty good from what I’ve seen!

Amazing playing! Was wondering how does this Schecter compare to the Fender Strat shown in your other videos? Which one do you prefer?
@andydavid93 жыл бұрын
Hey man, great question! I actually tried to make this video about a comparison between the 2 but it sucked so I went with a quick tone test. There’s a reasonable difference between the two. The body on the Schecter is slightly thinner, and the curves are a lot harder. The body feels smaller too. The main difference is the neck, it’s pretty thin and the fretboard is flat, kinda like an Ibanez. I think the best difference is the volume pot being slightly out of the way. Feels like the right hand has more freedom. I’ll attempt a comparison video if you think that’d be helpful?
