Schecter sucks! Loose neck! Demon 7 $419 mistake

Sadsad sad schecter. My second one. I should not be able to pick the guitar up by its neck and here the body Creak against a sloppy neck. The screws are tight too. So disappointing.

Yeah, bought the new schecter omen elite-6. They f'd up the paintjob, the neck pocket was cut crooked, frets were shart and stiking out the sides (and a few raised frets). And the best part is that I couldn't return it lol, so now I'm stuck with it. How the hell did it pass QC is beyond me

I bought one as well and I have had nothing but problems. I love the way it feels but the volume has a static sound when turned. Switching from heavy to a clean channel throws off the pickups 75% of the time. The jack port won’t allow the jack to sink all the way in. I’m gonna get another 7 string but it will not be a Schecter. I got an appointment to have the Demon 7 completely overhauled this Thursday. I’m having new jack ports, pots, and pick ups. I guess I better get that neck looked at too. Good luck

Unfortunately they are cheaper made than the regular 6. I looked at 6 or 7 guitars before I gave up. I build guitars. I know what a sht neck pocket/ joint looks like. These are all unacceptable trash. The ibanez gio 7 string with maple fretboard on that light blue is a solid guitars for $199 if you can ignore the fact it's a gio lol. I won't mess with schecter anymore.

@Guitar tips and tricks and hacks. There are some truly great Schecter guitars, just depends on what ur getting I guess. Also just takes one bad experience to sour your opinion on a guitar brand altogether, that's fair enough. That loose neck like that is unacceptable tho

They probably made the holes to hold the neck probably too big it's a common mistake with a lot of guitars like that imports

My Schecter Omen Elite 6 LH is also quite bad in terms of fretwork and buzz. My previous LTD EC-256 is way better and 100 euro cheaper.

Everyone is having QC issues dude!!!....just pulled a $1000 PRS off the shelf, and played like dogshit too!.....Jackson has gotten horrible....Yet I picked up a Jackson JS7 string, and played amazing for $200, go figure, LOL....I also played the same Schecter you have, and it seemed Good, played the Music Man 7 string, and it needed a setup badly.....I picked up a Gibson Les Paul for $2000, and played AMAZING....ended up buying it, Lol......it's just so hard to find a good Setup guitar off the shelf! I refuse to order online, unless I can return it.

I played a $2800 prs last night at gc that was an absolute joke and I have never touched a schecter for longer than 2 minutes. They must be doing a lot of pr stuff on you tube ogs gotta speak up and call em out

Not a problem if you bought it brand new from a good company just send it back and give them your two sense and trust me the next one they send you will be a good one.

Well this happens not only on Schecter, we have bought Hagstrom Viking II Elvis Presley signature and the neck was squeezing and moving too, problem was that the screwes bolting the neck was not straight.

Wow that's really bad. I can't imagine how unstable tuning must be. 1 bad guitar from a company is enough to leave a bad taste and ruin your view of a company, I can't imagine how livid you must be having had 2 bad guitars in a row and of the same kind

Schecter's quality control has gone way downhill in recent years. I bought a Blackjack like 5 years ago and there was a horrible static coming from the pickups right out of the box, brand new. After inspection, it turns out the electronics cavity in the back was cut too deep and the cover plate was actually hitting the pickup switch making the signal short out and create static. Putting some shims underneath the cover plate in fixed it but there's no way that guitar should have passed QC like that. Bought an acoustic from them as well with cracks on the fretboard and some really bad binding paint bleed. I have 3 Hellraiser's that I bought about 10 years ago and they were fantastic out of the box, my 2 newest Schecter purchases were nothing but issues. Won't buy another Schecter again.

Sorry to hear. I won't buy any from them unless it's old and used lol. Besides I prefer rosewood so that leaves out all new guitars since 2017.

I had (big enphisas on HAD) a C1 Plus in white and the damn headstock broke while tuning the 2nd string. It wasn't a super thick gauge of strings either. If 48-11 is enough to break the headstock then I won't waste my money on Schecter again. If it was a bolt neck, I would have just replaced the neck. Nope, it was a neck thru. That's why I stick with PRS for my shread stuff and Jackson for my rhythm stuff.

Bought it for $700 brand new - fkin amazing guitar, worth 1000+ easy so $419 year ago sounds unlikely to be the actual price for a new guitar. The one you got doesn't even look new, looks used and I can even say custom..? Not sure where you bought it but, you should at least go to the music shop and try stuff before buying something like this. It very well may be "b stock" or "used" because they DO sell those. At least my love for music prevents me of just clicking "buy now" online and I can say from all guitars I own, this is one of the better ones and I got no complaints for any of them (got demon 7, diamond series 6string and stiletto stealth 4 from schecter only, amazing company, one of my favs next to esp ltd).

There are several similar models. These are from guitar center. They aren't used. Yours is undoubtedly the higher end w Grover tuners and such. This thing us just a budget 7 string demon
