Dude you are totally amazing. This is an amazing walkthrough of the PT2399. Im a total beginner and just started learning about the PT2399. I struggled for a few hours to get a circuit working on a bread board till i found this. This is by far the most in depth explanation that i can find and actually completely understand. I built this on a bread board in like 10 mins and it works flawlessly like you describe. But i want some high frequency in mine. You mention that R10 and C12 form a RC filter and also R16 and C15 form another RC filter. you also said C20 was doing some high frequency filtering. I tried removing R10, C12 ,R16 and C15 and the wet signal sounded about the same. being a total beginner and not knowing what I'm doing i also removed the C20. Everything i remove seems to have very little affect on the wet signal, its just dark. My dry signal is very crispy but the repeats are just not bright enough for my taste. You have any quick insight on getting more treble out of this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Tanks for this run thru. I don't understand in detail, what happens with the components but your explaination moves me a huge step further in reading scematics. For me, as a beginner, it would be great to make an easy soldering projekt (fuzz, booster), accompanied by your knowledge to turn theorie in praxis.

Great information; great video; bravo! I have seen circuits designed with this chip for echo and also delay - on the same data sheet, IIRC. I found that fact to be confusing. I could not tell if just one chip could be made to do both functions (at the same time,) or if two chips and separate circuits would be needed? That holds true, for the chorus function, as well... Are separate 2399s needed for each function, or can one chip do all three effects? Thanks!

Not working. Only dry signal is working. Should pin3 and 4 not be grounded?? Checked schematics 10 times, no errors. Swapped pt2399, same results. Full 9v battery, check so what else could b wrong?

@@thescientificguitarist4228 Hmm, i am much more of a synth guy than a guitar guy, but from the top of my head, maybe some circuits that build on this one but add some features. like for example add modulation of the delay time. Or how to make a chorus or something with pt2399.

@TheScienticGuitarist You could make a video on how to add the feedback control pot to the pre made PT2399 boards they sell on ebay and aliexpress. There are no other videos on that. Just a few showing how to add the delay pot.

Thanks for this video. I ordered one of those modual boards with this chip on it from ebay. Theres lots of videos showing how to add the delay adjustment pot, but I can't find one that shows how to add the feedback adjustment pot. Is it possible to do that? Where on the board would I add it?
