It depends! if you are Stipendium Hungaricum Scholar, with the dormitory accomodation from University or even a temporary accomodation like airbnb for a month, you can apply for the VISA. But, when you go to get your Residence permit, once in Hungary, you will need to show a contract for a year from the Landlord.

@@kunabernice7878 Well I signed for a BASIC medical insurance in Ecuador, I asked the insurance company to be aware of the day my plane was leaving, to start counting the number of days of insurance I paid for. I did just for 15 days but as I say in the video I recommend to hire a plan for a month until your Hungarian insurance (TAJ card) is activated.
