Could you please text me on Instagram @afrochronicle so we can discuss about s Scherrie for a potential Interview

Proud to say I was an executive producer on this record. Basically I put the artist (Scherrie) and the producer together (Rick). It wasn't easy. Rick had already cut the song on another artist and it was ready to be released. I virtually begged Rick to scrap what he had (lead vocals) and record Scherrie. After a short while, he agreed. Then I arranged for the late Mary Wilson to agree to come in and do background for her former Supremes bandmate, along with Scherrie's sister Freda, and Edmund Sylvers of The Sylvers (70s hits Hotline and Boggy Fever). Small record label and it was hard to turn this into a hit, but Scherrie and I did hear it on AM radio once while driving in her car. That was a big deal. Such great memories.

@@rickgianatos3903 In the USA by 1982 wasn't this sound already considered "dated" or was the song actually recorded in 1981 and released in 1982?

@@South_American Dated??? Recorded in 1980, released in1982.

@@rickgianatos3903 English is not my 1st language. By "dated" I mean by 1982 in the USA the sounds of the time were rapidly moving into a more electro/electronic direction. 1983, 1984 1985 was drastically different than 1979, 1980, 1981. I myself have always preferred the sounds of real instruments so the mid 1980s was a rather difficult adjustment for me as far as music from the USA is concerned.

Ms. Scherrie, is a great woman. I’ve had the pleasure of being in her home as a child. Classy lady. Very welcoming & nurturing. Same goes for her daughter. My classmate.

The Song "I'm Not in Love" was a big hit in March 1975 for the group 10cc. In November 1975 it was released again for singer Dee Dee Sharp.
