Your streams are extremely entertaining, and fun to watch. Please keep them coming. Corpus Christi was my happy home sometime back, and I am glad that you like it, as I did, before my company transferred me to Dallas. I never again had such a beautiful window view as I had from my corporate work desk in an uptown highrise overlooking Corpus Christi Bay to the east. Great place for your employees. I'm having crazy good fun enjoying my new Magni Heresy and Modi 3+. They are absolutely incredibly good in so many ways, and then some. My favorite listening test cut, "Texas Flood" from "The Essential Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble" was the first thing I listened to on my new Heresy stack on my antique 600 Ohm Sennheisers, and it just blew me away with its revealing clarity, dead black noise floor, and overall great sound. To solve my dilemma regarding whether to buy either a Heresy/Modi 3+ or Magni 3+/Modi Multibit stack, I've decided to buy both, have the best of all options, keep enough for my critical beer budget, and call my new thickening Schiit plot good for now. I'm a fairly new customer. I bought a Lyr 3 a few months ago and it is a fantastic tube hybrid amp with incredible flexibility for headphones. I followed up with ordering a Loki M since not all music is perfectly recorded and my speakers sound different than my headphones. You guys did me a solid by instead sending me the new M+. I get it. My work is also dealing with supply issues. As you say "you can't plan only react". But the thing is, it was totally worth the wait. My Freya/Aegis x 2 system is ridiculously good sounding.

Being a New Englander, it's funny hearing about driving in snow, ice, sleet and rain storms. We drive in blizzards. If you have a front wheel drive car without AWD, nothing beats Bridgestone Blizzak tires in snow and ice. I've never been stuck with them.

I've had a Modi Multibit, Loki, and Vali 2 back-ordered since January. I didn't know the details why for the delay, but you know the way things are, I certainly wasn't surprised by any means. So I'm glad I stumbled across this video to hear what's going on internally with Schiit. The expansion of production in Texas is certainly good news and I hope it progresses smoothly!

As a Texan and a Schiit fan. I'm so sorry you had to experience Texas like that. It does happen, but very rarely. Texageddon or Texmageddon is appropriate given the events of that week. You are correct about getting away from the coast during a Hurricane. But, you have to actually leave the costal area early enough to not get caught in the rush of million people that have the same idea.

I'm in Central Maryland, where it rains every three days. Other than a hurricane up the Chesapeake Bay every 40 years and a drought every 30 years, and a massive snow storm every 20 years, it's pretty much bullet proof. The cicadas were a little annoying, but they're gone by now.

Love my Modi, waiting for my Vali. That back and forth skid on the icy bridge was mechanical oscillation, driven by a mismatch between the corrective inputs and the required inputs. If you had continued long enough the car does a complete 180 and the system becomes so nonlinear that the oscillation stops.

Do you consider adding a Balance functionality to the Loki "max"? You know, the volume level difference set for left and right channel. The EQ is great for correcting some room nodes, and the Balance would also help when setting up speakers in unusual positions/places, not to mentioned for people with hearing disorders where one ear hears better than the other. Neither of your preamps have that, which is a pity. Thanks in advance for the answer. PS: My Freya + was shipped in 3 weeks since the order. Earlier than the site suggested to be shipped. So from my side it was fine.

I remember how to simply change the fuse on my Yggdrasil would have voided out my warranty because of the seeming paranoia based regulations that California imposes. Good luck with the expansion! Personally I think you have diversified too much, too many product lines to keep up with demand. I was after a Vidar and an Aegir but the UK supplier is out of stock of literally everything. Ended up buying second hand Audio Research. I'm happy but it's a shame for you really. My dad got so fed up of waiting he ordered his little schiit stack and had it delivered directly from the USA complete with tax shipping import duty etc. Which is a bit mad really! He is happy with it though!

Backorder is crazy. I ordered a Magnius on February 22. It said BACKORDERED, SHIPS MARCH 2ND. On March 2, it changed to the 31ST. 😔 I'm only being patient because you guys rock. I wouldn't have put up with it with another company. Jason and Mike being so honest in videos and on Head-Fi is what has earned my trust in Schiit Audio and why I hold it in such high regard.

Y‘know, they wouldn’t have frozen if they had been required to have genset heating. Which is a requirement in places that experience freezing weather. Or that are connected to the national grid. Also, why are you not whining about natural gas pumping stations freezing shut? That was the much bigger problem for Texas power stability, and again, they only froze because utilities were allowed to cut corners by small-government dimwits... Texas’ problem isn’t just under regulation, it’s corruption - and not just the type that goes with under regulation, but the type that led to it. I’m no fan of Newsom or all of the decisions CA makes, but at least votes count there.

It’s a myth that CA is over regulated. Enron is a CA story. Silicon Valley is a libertarian utopia that pays a very low effective tax rate. Texas on the other hand is a dystopia, my friend who moved there from Palo Alto, CA definitely starting to regret it and is planing to move back. You get what you pay for most of the time, on average.
