Don't feel bad I failed at fishing on the isle I use a 3 piece St Croix in a traveler rod case works well when backpacking

First two spoons you held up are trolling spoons, that's why they are so light. They look like Michigan Stinger brand, same company makes heavy casting spoons in a lot of their patterns, may improve your odds next time since you'll get more distance from your cast.

Some great scenery guys, glad to see the fishing picked up a little. You mentioned that Andy got wet during the night, was it a gear failure? Poor set-up? If you can get it in the US try Taylor's Hot Lava Java coffee, it has a great kick to it and is a firm favourite of mine when out hammocking. Look forward to the next instalment.

Got my underquilt slightly wet during that storm from some rain spray. Luckily it was minimal and I was able to dry it out pretty quick. I needed to have my tarp slightly lower.
