Probably the best bike I have ever had! It is now 4 years old, and it looks and performs like new. I just glides through the traffic, and the gearing is perfect for me. I have other good bikes, but the Siegfried is simple the best and the most fun to ride. And the price? I have absolutely nothing to complain about; to me it is worth every Euro. It is not built with expensive and exclusive parts, but all the parts are well thought out, and the combination is flawless. My only change to the stock version was to change to Schindelhauers ergo grips, which are the best I have come across, no matter the brand or cost.

Perhaps you could help here Lars! I'm interested to get the Siegfried road and unfortunately the bike is not available for a demo ride. I am 1.71cm tall and have no clue which size I should order. Any idea from your experience? Thx in advance!

@@emmanueltsI5 I am 183 cm tall, and I have a 59 cm frame, which fits perfectly. According to the Schindelhauer website the Medium size (56cm) should fit between 171-179cm, which sounds reasonable. I thought about the Siegfried Road, but I went for the standard model, because it has a slightly more upright riding position (but still a bit sporty). I changed the Brooks grips to Schindelhauers own ergonomic grips, which are by far the best ergonomic grips I have tried.

@@VidNibs The Siegfried is delivered with Brooks saddle and grips, and they are all of good quality, so when I changed both saddle and grips, it doesn't´t mean that they are bad. I just find the Schindelhauer grips more comfortable. I have mild arthritis in my thumb joints, and for me the ergo grips are far better suited for my hands. The saddle is more a personal taste; many find the Brooks saddles great and comfortable, me not so much. So I found a softer, longer more "sporty" saddle. Regarding the Lightskin seatpost, I have one on my Schindelhauer Oskar, and it is great (and alway there when you need it). It is a shame that the Lightskin handlebar is rather straight, where the originalbar is more curved. I like the curved original a lot, so I would prefer to keep it, but that is just my taste. I also got the fender set; it is vrey well made and got some nice mounting details, so it blends in with the general quality. I have also reversed the front stem to get a slightly more upright position. So all in all small tweakings of a really good design.

Sieht ja nicht sonderlich gesund aus, wie der junge Herr auf dem Fahrrad sitzt...Ich glaube ein größerer Rahmen hätte ihm sicher gut getan.
