Schindler 330A elevator - 103 Gamma Dr. - RIDC - O'Hara Township (Pittsburgh), PA

Just your basic 330A with HT in an office building on Γ Dr. at 1 of the office buildings of RIDC's original park. This is a very early 330A. Sadly the chimes have been upgraded as usual.

I absolutely hate when they upgrade the chimes, there's really no need for it as they are ADA compliant and I've confirmed with Schindler techs that it's due to new software versions for the Miconic HX. I still find it weird how a building near me with a low pitched Schindler yet Schindler maintains it... I guess the place just isn't in the mood to upgrade

Macy's Furniture in Long Island is maintained by Schindler, & considering the chimes that has, that must be like 1 of the original versions of HX. What's rather funny is there's a building around here w/ a low-pitch & a high-pitch, & the there's a deficiency comment on the records ONLY for the low-pitch 1 that says "Machine room wire diagrams shall be in the machine room for operation of the equipment. Machine is 330A with old software installed diagrams are needed for testing and trouble shooting." 1 thing I can say here is HX is proprietary, so that's unlikely to even happen. Plus Otis maintains them, so another reason that won't happen, & the software most likely won't be updated because Otis probably won't obtain the proprietary gadgets.

@@EWPA14 Interesting... Schindler service sucks in my area therefore less buildings contract them and that's one of the reasons for so many low pitches by me

In this area, Schindler must have done almost all the servicing in 2009, when most of the low-pitches were being updated. They still do some today, but a lot of places have changed to Otis or a local company.
