Moldova has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 19 times, debuting in 2005. The country's best result is a third-place finish for SunStroke Project in 2017, with their song "Hey Mamma".
Moldova's debut in the contest in 2005 was successful, with Zdob și Zdub finishing sixth. The country also reached the top ten with Natalia Barbu (2007), DoReDoS (2018), and Zdob și Zdub and Advahov Brothers (2022). In total, Moldova has reached the final twelve times, failing to qualify from the semi-finals in 2008, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2019 and 2024.

If they kept the multiple singers and aesthetic from the NF performance just with slightly improved visuals- that would be sure qualifier I think. Her loneliness on the stage and that random glowy visuals just ruined everything except her voice.

My qualifiers and non-qualifiers of Moldova in eurovision 🇲🇩 (Since 2004): OBS: I'll leave the automatic qualifiers as automatic qualifiers even if the country hadn't been my choice to win in the previous year or wasn't high for me in the semi-final format from 2004-2007, since as the entry did not face the semi-finals that year, it would be difficult for me to imagine a situation of these entries in the semi-final *Old semi-final format (2004-2007) 2005: Non-qualifier ❌ 2006: Automatic qualifier ➖ 2007: Qualified ✅ *New semi-final format (2008-Current) 2008: Non-qualifier ❌ 2009: Qualified ✅ 2010: Qualified ✅ 2011: Non-qualifier ❌ 2012: Non-qualifier ❌ 2013: Qualified ✅ 2014: Qualified ✅ 2015: Qualified ✅ 2016: Qualified ✅ 2017: Qualified ✅ 2018: Qualified ✅ 2019: Non-qualifier ❌ 2020: Qualified ✅ (If 2020 had happened) 2021: Qualified ✅ 2022: Non-qualifier ❌ 2023: Qualified ✅ 2024: Non-qualifier ❌ My opinions about the country in eurovision: I consider Moldova the most funny country in eurovision along with Lithuania, Even though some entries aren't my style, I really sone like Moldova's choices at Eurovision, like the EPIC SAX GUY, the universe lord with his divine weapon, but I really didn't like Moldova's choice this year, Natalia has a great voice with great vocals, but in my opinion the song is so boring, In my opinion Valeria Pasha would have been the perfect choice for Moldova and it is very sad that she lost with the same points as Natalia due to a tie breaker, because i love her song..., it would have been much more competitive for eurovision, but actually moldova is a very good country in eurovision, much more than they brother Romania, moldova is so funny that even they national final is extremely funny, with that elderly man, the boy who always writes songs with super wrong lyrics like "married to twins 💀" in 2022 with that girl who couldn't sing without looking at her cell phone and how to forget the Queen of all the queens in the world the one and only misscatylove!! 😘, but it seems that moldova really likes to send artists who have been to eurovision before, they have been doing this for 4 years in a row, but if they really want to do this, I really wish Nelly Ciobanu comes back, I loved her folk song in 2009 and another folk song from her in 2025 would be amazing, Let's see what other fun entertainment will come from Moldova in the coming years 👀.

It’s funny Moldova being ranked 'In The Middle' of the NQ from semi final 1 this year. Needless to say, Natalia made a fuss about Naked Demons after her semi final heat on her Instagram story which she then later delete it Also, Moldova need to try a new artist as opposed to a Eurovision Veteran next year.

Just a lil fun fact: Epic sax guy (From SunStroke Project) partecipated again in Moldova's National Contest (No idea of what's it called) in 2023 and got second. So we could have had him for the third time on an ESC stage even though I'm more than happy with the entry that actually got to Eurovision
