Albania has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 20 times since its debut in 2004. Festivali i Këngës, a long-standing song contest that takes place every year in Albania since 1962, is used to select the country's entrant for that year's Eurovision Song Contest. Albania participated in the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in 2004 with Anjeza Shahini placing seventh. It remained the country's highest result in the contest until 2012, when Rona Nishliu finished fifth.

@starxoi7957 yes, but if we're only counting placements since the introduction of the semi-finals, or at least since somewhere in the 1990s, when 23 or more countries were competing and there were tie break rules put in place, then Albania wins. For example, Portugal tied 17th with 2 other countries 50 years ago, all 3 of them are listed here. And with 17 or 18 countries participating pre 1990, this was given a lot to songs that tied last or just could avoid last place.

Albania is definitely the ESC country with the best vocalists of all the competing countries. And I think that Rona Nishliu is the best female vocalist, while Eugent Bushpepa is the best male one. I hope, they'll win someday.

I'm Albanian and I listened to almost all the songs that were taken to Eurovision, I'm shocked at how my country has never won or reached at least the top 3, at this point I think Eurovision is no longer a song contest and that the ranking is based on where you are located geographically. I hope Albania can win at least once in the future.

The fact that Arliena Ara didn't participate in 2021 makes me sad. In 2017,she has a big hit called "Nentori" and I remeber that she was in Romania (my country) as a guest for a national radio and I was so happy when she was chosen to represent Albania.But after,the contest was cancelled and maybe she will never be on the eurovision stage. *Sorry for my bad english I am just a normal Eastern European guy*

Albania 2014 is the prime example of how bad staging and outfits kill an exceptional song with a great performer. Poor Hersi. Her song was one of the best that year and it got completely ruined by the staging. She should have worn a dark outfit like in the music video and moved around instead of just standing on that podium.

Ever since 2016. They don’t qualify if their songs in English, but do qualify if their songs in Albanian I’m a not a fan of Titan. I don’t hate it, I find it meh. It is my least favourite performance in the song contest this year. Also, Besa had 3 different outfits (2 is from her dress rehearsals.)
