Thanks Tim for this comprehensive review. I particularly like the pile of discarded mallets piled on the floor as you rapidly switch from model to model at the end of the video. I will be buying these in the states as shown as they become available.

Just getting into jazz vibes in university, I didn’t know that Zivkovic was a vibe player as well. I’ve studied some of his Marimba books in the past, great player/composer.

Tried the SV-10, SV-20 and SV-30 and kept the SV-10 for the softer side of things (nice weight and deep sound but still some attack) and the SV-20 as allround mallet. The SV-30 where a bit too clanky for me, but this might be the case on an Adams Soloist vibe with its slightly smaller bars because of the additional low E.

Are they rattan? Are they available in the states?

They are rattan- not sure about the availability at the moment in the US.
